| I was talking with my friend who had made a comment on how she was not looking forward to drawing ocean scenes, and i offered my help since i had grown up on beaches, quite literally.
And i made a joke about how i grew up a Wavedancer..and realized it was true! I'm rather pale, which is not unusual for a Wavedancer, and i've always been attracted to water. And yes, i spent so much time at the sea, my young eyes were unbothered by salt water. I did use to swim so much i could hold my breath decently.
Though i may be becoming a go-back in my new home...i find myself adjusting to the snow easily and i am of a short build! Lol. But i think i remain a Wavedancer in heart and soul.
So what tribe/tribes are you and for what reasons?

| Trying to be honest ... I long for savety. I prefer indoor activities. I'm kinda passive. I like to make visual art ... a visual type in general. I tend to follow a leader ... and usually realize a bit too late if things go downhill. I'm afraid ... I'm a Glider. Hmm... Hmmm... I prefer indoor activities. I'm partially nocturne. I've kinda a Rubens figure. ^^ I love doing things with my hands. I love precious stones, minerals, gems ... I like to make visual art ... making jewelry and pretty things. Good chance I'm a Troll! ___________________________________________________ Indem du etwas tust, das dir oder jemand anderem gefällt, erschaffst du bereits einen Wert. | |

| I was wondering if anyone was going to be a Glider! Though i thought the only way was maybe someone who loved aviation ot something.
But a Glider or a Troll..very cool! Though you don't seem greedy or self serving enough to be a troll. :p

| Wavedancer, no doubt about that. I love swimming and bathing and being near water. I think water is my element, it nurtures my soul. ___________________________________________________ | |

| I am half sunfolk, half wolfrider. The analogy to my real life is that I am of mixed ethnicity, too. My mother is asian while my father is german, thus I look 90 percent asian while growing up in Germany. Germany is quite multicultural I think but still I had a huge identity crisis in my teens. I didn't really experienced mobbing, quite the opposite I was often complimented for my 'exotic looks' (I still wished for the opposite then because I am naturally shy and hated to be spotted easily). Yet still I felt like I was treated differently and thus felt like an outsider...I needed an escape to deal with my confusing feelings and found it in art and comics and books...reading fantasy to me is like a quest of finding oneself and understanding other people and circumstances better and more clearly...fantasy is great because it is fully packed with symbols, allegories and metaphors. I love it to this day. So while reading Elfquest I felt like a child of Leetha and Cutter. The mixed kid. Especially I felt like a female version of Suntop. It is because he too is a bit shy, drawn to poetry, to philosophy, searching for a mentor of the Arts, seeking to help his kind in every way, very calm and soft spoken...he is a dreamer and so am I. ___________________________________________________ Where flowers bloom, so does hope. - Lady Bird Johnson | |

Good chance I'm a Troll! I envision you as a glider rather than a troll. With a long silver mane, sparkling light blue eyes like jewels. You look close to a High One to me. And you have the most beautiful gem filled private residence in Blue Mountain. The preservers follow you when they see you and you are a legend to the trolls who desire your treasures! You are known for your wisdom, your exquisite art taste and creativity. Many seek your advice and admire your eloquence. Sometimes you speak in riddles. ___________________________________________________ Where flowers bloom, so does hope. - Lady Bird Johnson

| Aww, i'm sorry to hear your troubles when you were younger! I had the same, though for me it was annoying and very baffling! Often asked about "my accent" and appearance. I often was very confused, wondering "accent? What accent, what are you talking about? I don't have an accent do i?" Then appearance wise...i look somewhere between italian, native american, hispanic or hungarian! Depends who's looking at me.
Prayer, i bet you'd be the palest Sun Folk ever! Perhaps you prefer to live in the caves like your Wolfrider ancestors did when they first came to Sorrows End. Maybe you only come out at night when less people are up, and hover at the very edges whenever there is a celebration at night.
I don't think you'd hunt though you may have a wolffriend who brings you meat along with your tribemates, and you'd probably have a very Sun Folk set up inside a nicely sized cave.

| Awww... you flatter me, Fairyring. You ARE a dreamer. I'll imagine that you describe a "soul image" and will try to live up to it. I'd love to dwell a room in BM with walls decorated with the most beautivul natural jewels. ^^ Your loving description made me think of something else ... - Oddbit wrote:

| @Embala @Vaeri Hey we have a little bit in common. I love how we can talk about our experiences and even struggles here. *hugs* Wow, you have the most beautiful mix like you described it. Yes, I am a pale half Suffolk but just think of Korafay...she is so fair and her sire is pretty dark. But I would say Prayer's skin adjusts easily to get tanned. Think of Newstar or Dart who started so light and got quite dark. ^^ You gave a very sweet description of like Prayer would be like...it's true except that in terms of living she is very entranced to the sky like Eyes High. Thus in Sorrow's End she would have a cave a bit higher in the mountains and in the woods she would live as high up in a tree as possible...bit of a loner. You're right that she isn't a hunter but behaves very peacefully like Redlance. ___________________________________________________ Where flowers bloom, so does hope. - Lady Bird Johnson | |

| *hug* i greatly enjoy it too, and the honesty between us without fear of judgement or misunderstanding leading to offense/hurt.^^ i have had quite a few people say i'm beautiful but i rarely agree. Far too critical of myself and perhaps i've seen my face far too much..you know how like when you use a word too much, it loses its meaning? Plus low self esteem lol.
So darker than a wolfrider but paler than the other sun folk. I think it'd be rather cool and interesting that she'd live a bit higher in the rocks...maybe she's often looking down on the village and watching over it like a guardian.
If you were truly an elf and living this half wolfrider/half sun folk life, would your name still be Prayer? Ugh i bet my mom would have named me like...Seaflower or Seablossom or something. Though Seablossom isn't too bad at least. My name actually translates to like..french for Meadow Flower

| Well it may sound cheesy but I always say beauty comes from within. Just think of how many people are beautiful outside but are ugly characterwise...yet society focuses so much on mere looks... Aww the meaning of your name is beautiful. I love getting to know the meaning behind names. Oh yes my elf self name would be Prayer. I like how some elves are named by what they are doing...like Cutter, Mender, Scouter etc.. It's a very practical way of naming an elf. Just look at Suntoucher's prayer below in the panel out of EQ #3. That's what Prayer would totally do as well in such a situation! ___________________________________________________ Where flowers bloom, so does hope. - Lady Bird Johnson | |

| Ehhh...i never took him as like really praying praying...more like expressing a wish/hope or something...but then i'm not overly familiar with praying as i'm not religious...^^
But hey simplicity sometimes works best! Prayer is as Prayer does. I have no idea why i'm saying that but it sounds good right now!
Anyway I think my Wavedancer self would wear blues, whites teal and black. These are usually the colors of my bikinis and bathing suits

| Aww thanks I really like that simplicity in an elf's name, too. As for religion in EQ there is not much evidence for a formalized religion. The sun folk refers to the sun as a kind of deity in the beginning when Suntoucher says to Skywise: "Wind...rain...the times to plant and harvest...all are governed by the mighty, life-giving daystar!" As for the elves in general they do pray to their ancestors. However it's not really faith because on the World of Two Moons they know and perceive that the spirits of the elves are still around so it is a fact and they can communicate with them. Wow, that's so cool that beautiful Vaeri represents the colours that you wear in real life. I love those fresh colours. They go so well with each other. They are exotic and reminding of the beach. I also love to wear Prayers colors and even love shoulder free tops! ___________________________________________________ Where flowers bloom, so does hope. - Lady Bird Johnson | |

| Never meant anything about religion among the elves. Just that due to unfamiliarity, i tend to think praying should be more complex like a ritual or something. So to me, it doesn't seem like praying if someone says something like Suntoucher did or an elf thinking/saying "High One's keep them safe"
Hmm true enough! Vaeri does wear teals and blues. I never really thought about it. Lol. Guess we just tend to gravitate naturally to our prefered colors.

| Ok, what tribe I am? as a loner, I am in no tribe. I stick to my family only. I'm glad, when I come home and can close the door behind me. But I love the sea more tan everything else!!! I lost my heart at the northern sea when I was a child. Several years ago, I could finally make a wish from my childhood come true: I was able to buy a Mermaid-tail and start swimming like a Mer. My first tail was blue, it was the most fitting colour for me as a Mer. Now I have the Tail of Yeee for swimming (Magictail.de made it possible to design an own tail. ) or better my own tail-design became Yeees tail . So I am a no-tribe Merelf! | |

| Yay a fellow wavedancer! That is so indescribably cool that you got a tail made and you use it to swim in the ocean! Guess if i ever hear about mermaids in germany, i'll have to check if you've been to the beach lately! :p
