Are you the artsy type.  Like to paint, knit, or sew.  Work on a car or some other form of art.  Show us what you got.

I like to crochet.  I love colors, so I make handmade afghans (blankets).  Some are gifts and others I sell.

Here's one I made for a friends birthday.  Mind you it is in Raider colors.

Wow G0lden!! Shocked How long does it take you to make one that big??

If I get the time to upload my pictures on my son's laptop, I'll post some crafty things I've done. My problem is, I love to to all sorts of crafts, so my storage room is always a wreck! Razz

Depends on the size. That took me four months to do. Not only was it big (queen sized), but it was heavy. I literally had it on the floor to crochet and to turn it.

It's really hard for me to just like one "hobby"

When it comes to being creative, I'm all over the place.

For example, I absolutely do love crafting. This is a picture of a wreath I made for my sister for Christmas. It's made out of rolled up music sheet pages.  The middle of the wreath is also something I made. I took fancy scrapbook paper I got on clearance, cut different sized petals, then folded and glued them. The middle is a little flower jewel.  The whole thing cost less than $5 to make!

I also putting crafting talents together with my art ^__^

One year, I did an entire hallway in an Egyptian theme for an after school dance function.

The tablets I did are made out of styrofoam insulation that I bought in bulk. After breaking them and shredding them for a rough exterior look, then I painted them to make them look like stone. VERY fun to do, but VERRYYY messy! I had styrofoam balls throughout my house for months!  Laughing

I also LOOVVEEE gardening!

" />

AAAAANNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.....
I love decorating Shocked

And as everyone here already knows, I absolutely LOVE drawing and writing!!!

SORRY THE IMAGES ARE SO BIG!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Wow, you do quite a bit in the arts and crafts.

Loved the wreath using sheet music. Cool idea.

Like you I like to decorate for holidays, since this place is smaller than our other duplex, I have less ambition to decorate much less room.

I do lots of crafty stuff - I cross stitch (had my own cross stitch design company for a while) knit, crochet, and occasionally quilt. I've also been known to draw now and then. But I can't figure out how to add pics to my posts!

Before the forum shut down, there was someone begging for EQ cross stitch designs. Could you help with that or was it you asking, Stargazer? Smile

It wasn't me, Manga. I'm afraid I simply wouldn't have the time or the energy these days (and if I'm honest, the inclination). It's hugely time consuming to design something worthwhile. I don't even design for myself any more.

*raises hand*

I was the one begging for ElfQuest Cross Stitch stuff. And I completely understand not having the time, energy, or inclination anymore. I can only *imagine* the amount of work that goes into some of this stuff and it's mind-boggling.

I once did a piece for my former husband. He had drawn Cutter free hand on a dark brown shirt. I embroidered it. Have no clue what happened to it either. Should have grabbed it when I left him.

I've seen some of your afghans, already, G0lden. And I'm amazed each time how BIG they are, how evenly workes. I have crotchet ed a bit (or more) then and now but only only small pieces. Even then it's hard to to imagine how much labour is behind those big blankets.
Your patience and your love for this work must be endless, G0lden. You know that's a real worth you sell here ... or make as gifts, do you? You should know! *bows*

WOW! You are so inventive and creative, Kindreadsoul! And you have such a talent to make something very special "out of nothing" - almost nothing. ^^ This Christmas wreath ... the idea, the accuracy and final effect are amazing.
The schoolhall decoration leaves me speechless! Shocked Beginning with the color choices and decorative effect of the veils ... the artful Egyptian hieroglyphics on "broken" panels (oh, I love this extra effort!) and colorful symbols ... and the gorgeous "murals". You made this cold hallway a fantastic location! *applaudes* I hope you got REAL applause for this!

Your front garden, your yard - no need to mention you LOVE gardening. It SHOWS beautifully. And with the seasonal decorations ... I love your playfulness, Kindredsoul. Please preseve this ... never allow someone to take this away from you. *hugs*

Last not least your art I love you This bearclaw shows so much fun, and skill and playfulness again. Same as your stories. You give so much with this, fun and smiles and giggles ... and it screams how much it means for you. I'm so glad you've started to draw and write again - you must havbe missed it terribly. *tight hug and happy dance*

This is true art in stitches, Stargazer. Shocked You've totally transfered your gr talent for pose and expression, for colors and shading, for soft flowing lines and sparkling refections into a stichable pattern. Truely adorable! *claps and bows*

I love stones, minerals, gems ... more the grown pretties than the "made" ones. I love to look at them ... to touch them ... to play with them. Months ago Kindreadsoul encouraged me to share my necklaces.
Kin's support and Storm's and truelight's ... not sure who else has seen it that day - meant so much for me. *hugs and loves* That's why I want to share this facet or my various crafts first. I apologize for the crappy scans - I don't have a decent camera.

These can count as elfquesty ones:

They really are Elfquesty Embala - I can see the elves wearing jewellery like that. They are all lovely but I like the first one especially.

Y'all are all so talented! It's awesome!

Em, is that zoisite and malachite used to make the last one? If so, I'm dubbing that one your Sailormoon necklace. ^-^

Zero practical skills here! Unless kludging counts?

Thank you all for the kind words and appreciation. Very Happy I'm glad you like what you see.

You've chosen the comparably simplest one, Stargazer - in material and workwise. It's designed to present the amethyst "flower" - shaped ametyst beads, (ocean?) jasper, petified wood and silver leaves and beads. The pendant is cut from an amethyst "finger" - all naturally grown crystal with silver-coated outlines.

My "Atlantis" nacklace turned out to be the favorite. The "shells" are fossile ammonite, with matching nacre beads, lots of atlantis stone (larimar), aquamarine and very small greay pearls - plus some metal-ammonites. I KNEW Christina would like to have it ... Wink

Neither zoisite nor malachite, Kojiyumi. I see where you come from, given the dark blurry scan. The red "flowers" are turmaline ... partly the watermelon variance. Green "leaves" are simple polished jade shards. I liked the soft shimmer against the brighter turmaline shine. And a big berg-crystal. Clear/white - not grey. And silver elements of course. It's my "crystal garden".
