| I just reread Wolfrider!... and basically, the only one shown teaching Crescent anything is Strongbow! Bearclaw does call himself a teacher, but he refers to the humans... after the death.
Maybe we need to look in Freetouch's past instead? From when she was still Chitter?

I was thinking about the scene where Crescent is being taught by Strongbow and Bearclaw makes some kind of comment like "You sire and you grandmother; tough act to follow. Think you can do it, cub?" Tyldak is the correct answer in the end. I kinda forgot that obviously Teir has more than one grandfather... and yeah; Scouter counts too!
