Looking for good home for EQ collection Empty
PostSubject: Looking for good home for EQ collection   Looking for good home for EQ collection EmptyMon Sep 07, 2015 3:00 pm

First of all, I'm a new poster...I looked around trying to find the appropriate place to post for sale/wanted posts but could not find anything obvious. I'm VERY sorry if this is not the right place...just let me know and I'll repost appropriately (there was nothing obvious on the rules/new posters section when I skimmed it).

I have been a long-time fan of EQ, old enough to have bought much of my collection originally from the comic store. As a father, in a crammed house, without much space, and with the wonderful EQ.com digital archive, I am sadly looking to find a new home for most of my physical EQ collection (except my original Donning TPBs....you're not getting those:)).

This includes a lot of the original comics, the entire Marvel/Epic run, and most of the Father Tree Press stuff that came later, inculding the anthology series. Pretty much everything up to about 2010 or so. No figures, just comics. Much of it is in pretty good condition, but it ranges. That being said, obviously, these are not investment books, they're read for the love:)

I'd like it to go to a good home, rather than dumping it on the local comic store who will probably trash half of it, and put the rest in understock until the end of the world.

If anyone's still interested in having physical copies (including a slightly rough Fantasy Quarterly #1, of what printing I do not know) please let me know. I'm in Houston, TX, so shipping might be an issue for you if you're elsewhere. I am mostly not interested in parting out the collection as I don't have time to make lots of runs to the post office. However, if you have a really urgent need, we can talk.

I hope someone is interested, I hate to just sell it at the store. If you've ever wanted to get your hands on the real thing, here's chance to get a huge lot all at once.

please contact me at jbower47 at hotmail dot com.

Hello and welcome ElderWolf Smile

No worries about where you posted Wink This is fine!

How much were looking to sell the collection for? If you'd rather PM me with the price, that's fine too

To be honest, I have no idea what it's worth. I took a quick tally, in case anyone wanted to do their own mental math. Weird to even talk about parting with them. Any thoughts and suggestions on reasonable value appreciated here on in pm.

Most of the epic comics are not near mint...well loved, and some of the newer series are less than mint, but most bagged and in relatively good, certainly readable, condition.

* = 2 copies

Fantasy Quarterly - 1 (small rip in back cover I think)
Original WARP large format series - 3*, 4,6-11,15,16*, 18,20
Marvel/Epic - 1,4,6-32
Siege at Blue Mountain - 1-7 (2 copies each), 8
Kings of the Broken Wheel - 1, 5-9
New Blood - 1-3, 4-8*(2 each), 9-11,12*,13-16, 17*, 18,19, 20*, 21-27, 28*, 29*, 30-35, Summer Special 1, Summer Special 93
Hidden Years - 1-8*(2 each), 9-17, 18-19*(2 each), 20,21-22*(2 each), 23, 24-26*(2 each), 27, 28*, 29*, Holiday Special 9.5*
Blood of Ten Chiefs - 1,2,3,6,10,13,16,18,19
Anthology series - 1,2*,3,4*, 5-19, 20*, 21*, 23,24,25*, 26,27, 28-33*(2 copies each)
Shards - 1*,2,3*,4*,5-8, 9*, 10*, 11-16
Khavi - 1*, 2,3-6
Two Spear - 1-5
Jink - 5,10
Kings Cross - 1
World Pool - 1
Elfquest Gatherum (from the 80's/early 90's?? TPB style ecelctic collections of stuff) Volumes 1 and 2.
Wave Dancers  - 2
Elflord - 1
Hawk Windblade - 2
Rebels - 1
Metamorphosis - 1
25th Anniversary Special - 1

Whew. I also have the beautiful 80's Donning graphic novels, but those are occupying a place of pride on my shelf and will go nowhere:)
