Not a bad option for a Christmas gift, Trollbabe. Hope you get it Wink

I discovered I had worn my half high heeled shoes all day at school. I had planned to change into the sandals during the day, but don't you think I forgot. Didn't notice before I was heading home. Really, i feel that now. My feet have faced better days Neutral

I discovered that the weird smell in the kitchen came from the food-garbage bin. Also that the whole room in there needs cleaning. YUCK!

OK, it wasn't technically today that I discovered this tumblr post, but I thought folks here would appreciate it anyway:

An old Elf Quest reference that was heavily used about 10 years ago:

You can buy the single issues of Final Quest on Comixology now. Not only is the app far better than the one of Dark Horse, the comics are actually cheaper than Dark Horse (1,80€ compared to about 4€)

@Erin- I appreciate that post and am now tempted to buy Squidfriends!

@Trollhammer- good times.

@Golden- yes indeed. Or they could be unfathomably cruel! Depends on your definition of fun... as well as your definition of a "baby name."

@Multi- with absolute sincerity.. .that is so freakin cool.

@Miss G-- thanks! That's a good to know! I've been buying them at DarkHorse, but will probably switch now. Unless Mrs. Griz is still around and reading my stash? Mrs. Griz... hello? Has anyone seen Mrs. Grizzly?

Today I am going to sound like a infomercial. I discovered an amazing way to loose weight. It involves eating just a $#!-ton of food. I did this back in Jan/Feb and in one month lost thirty pounds. Mostly it stayed off. Ten pounds came back with irresponsible eating. I decided to do it again... but for motivation's sake, I bought a scale this time. I'm now down three pounds in two days. Blow my mind. Scale as motivation works! I would never have guessed it works this fast-- but it apparently does. I guess that was how I lost a good five pounds a week last time. Anyway- I have to finish my eggs and turkey bacon. If anyone at all ever is trying to lose weight-- pm me about this and I will give you the title of the book... or just maybe the rules for what to eat each day. You can eat almost anything-- you just have to eat certain combinations of food on certain days. It switches up. Today is all meat and veggie. So I had turkey bacon this morning and veggies and egg whites. For lunch, I'm chowing down on chicken legs. If I lose this last twenty pounds-- I'm back to the body I started with when I was thirty. Kick me in the balls if I don't manage it! I'm doing this.

I'll kick you in the gonads if you don't do it, Lunakat! You'll lose the weight...and yes, a scale is an awesomely simple motivation. I tried it before as well and it worked!

I'm wondering today whether I should whack my boyfriend over the head with a hard object to make him sleep. He's pulled an all-nighter working on something after procrastinating for months, after swearing not to pull any more all-nighters because they wreck him.
Now he wants to go fishing.
Only if you take a nap, cray cray.

My advice is -- just be there to steer the boat and grab the rod when he falls asleep out on a lake.

Today I discovered the used book store I've been going to since I was thirteen in going out of business. I managed to snag a few books I had been planning to pick up the next time the "I want to spend money" itch hit.

Gentlemen, I apologize if this is too much information... I have discovered that middle-aged women can have hot flashes and still have periods. Kill me now.

That there's a bird named the rock-loving cisticola. Which is also known as the lazy cisticola (Cisticola aberrans). I wonder what kind of rock it loves most? I bet it just listens to the Eric Clapton all day while smoking blunts.

My daughter (9 years old) had her first Elfquest dream! Pike and Nightfall were in it (Pike was as ugly as in the comics, she told me Pike Stunned ) and there were a lot of elfs that were unknown. And then Bumba (clown from a cartoon for 2 year olds) came to visit also.

@ Elwing: As that plain-looking birdie is not only rock-loving but also lazy I imagine it chilling to psychedelic rock like this:

Let it snow. Let it snow! Let it ... snow? Rolling Eyes

There's some whitish stuff falling from the sky, wet and ugly and natstybad slushy cold. Nothing that will cover anything in a pretty white coat - just blaaaah.
Cat is whining over it ...
