I'm probably one of the very few, but I could not *stand* Ruffel. I think it's just me and my general dislike of relentlessly perky, chirpy characters (yet Shenshen never got on my nerves before, which is weird). Ruffel was just such a freakin' ditz.
I will say this though.... she had a really poetic death. That was freakin' incredible lead-up to that moment. It was just stunningly beautiful.

I liked Ruffel , I just don`t like her name. It is so un- Sun Folkish. I liked her together with Vurdah and Maleen. They were the trio which invites the male elves into their bed. Once they did it with Rayek and Ekuar in the "Kings"-series, but sadly Rayek refused.
That would have been a nice scene, if he didn`t do that...
And yes, sadly she was just existing to pose next to ugly Skywise (puke).

oh , ok, I always look at Maleen, I like her most, because she has the typical Rayek-style : long black hair , long face, looks like a typical Sun Villager.
I strongly believe that this was Maleen in that scene.
