I wish I were a flower.
No pissing, pooping,
farting, sweating;
looking lovely,
smelling sweet;
never taking lives to eat.
What's not to love —
— the lifespan's low?
How would a simple flower know?

By day I would be white
and black I'd be by night.
Cats are sexy! Cats are free! Cat-eyes shame the moon!
Cats are AWESOME; worship cats! Cat-mistakes have style!

I wish I were two cats.

A teacher of jesters

“Play me a song,” the King said to his Jester, “make it brash and bold.”

And the Jester’s tune climbed the pillars gently; it was a song of trust and loving companionship.

“Now play me something serious, something hard and true,” said the King. But the Jester’s wooden flute ached with uncertainty and doubt.

“Play me another song,” the King said to his Jester, “play me something sad.” And the Jester sang of rejection and loves lost, and they found themselves crying.

When they had finished, the King inquired, astonished: “Who taught you to play like this?”

“You did,” said the Jester to her King: his eyes only knew the Queen these days…

Those lyrics are wonderful. And I remember being impressed by 'A teacher of jesters' when I first read it, and I still am.
