The artwork I use for the ornaments is not mine but original EQ art.

*sees PC smile* I promise there will show up one of your collection soon, PC!
Maybe it's a lollipop, Trollbabe. ^^ Try - and free Cutter!
Thank you, Leanan. This giant emerald was irresistable ... so close to Wendy's background design.

I'm afraid I'll tend to sadness and terror with this series. Challenges are welcome! Any favorite scene / special character portrait you want to see frozen in a shard? Tell me ... show me.

Lovely, lovely Em! I especially love the... is that a ruby? May I suggest something with watermelon tourmaline?

Thank you, Kojiyumi! No ruby ... not a gemstone at all and actually pretty small. It's realgar, a poisonous mineral - gorgeous crystal and photo. It looked like "bleeding out" for me ... so the fitting scene jumped right into my mind. I absolutely love watermelon turmalin and there will be a shard of it for sure! Any suggestions who I should ban into it?
Great praise, Tymber *ssh... it was freakingly easy ... Cutter sneeked in to hide on his own choice* Glad you like it so much!
LOL ... Who knows what will happen when Cutter "let it go", Lunakat!
You've nailed it, Leanan. My first association was blood ... and then I noticed the icy mountain.
For you, PCoquelin ... one of your most unlikely mineral treasures and the most wayward EQ character when it comes to collages ...
- Pure Fire
... I am soooo pleased with the result!

Heh, the Troll in me is thinking: how many years did the Trolls have to mine out anything easy to chip off the Palace walls? How many spirits are there, trapped in small shards all over the Troll Kingdoms, still to this day, set as cut gems in goblets, necklaces, thrones and the like, having to just sit there watching the goings-on of the Trolls? Even more morbidly, how many does Oddbit wear to this day, and in how many places (perhaps some piercings in unmentionable places?) that had to become acquainted with Picknose over the years?
I'm so sorry, I really should delete that. I can't make myself, though.
Anyway, if I hadn't said it before, this has been a wonderful idea you had Embala, and I enjoy seeing what you come up with in these beautiful gemstones!

Thank you very much for visiting and your kind comments! I'm glad you share my fun.
Yes, this is Zarhan Fastfire, Zadzi. For some reason he turns out to appear in the most unlikely places ... this guy constantly refuses to be banned in a nice orderly sphere or crystal. I must agree with him ... this firey crystal tips suit him better. ^^
No need to apologize, Hammer! You thought gave me a good laugh. I need to do a series of jewels ... with EQ eyes inside - disturbed eyes. ... oh noooo... now I have a baaaaad idea ...
Glad to see you here, Sifra.
This prehnite reminded me very much of a tree ...a perfect place for the Most Hidden of the Hidden.

Wow, Embala! I love prehnite, and this speciment is so perfect for the hidden elves! I must say, you've got a real knack for these. It's like the pieces were made exactly for your images

These are all wonderful Embala. The first one with Cutter and Leetah is perfect.

Enjoying this thread, especially Trollhammer's idea about shards and souls.
My father was a Colorado School of Mines grad, who worked in a gold mine in the Philipines and a turquoise mine in Nevada before he joined the military, then became a petroleum engineer in the Mideast for the rest of his career.
I think of him every time I find myself gazing at a fascinating stone. I pay more attention to rocks on the ground than to jewelry in a store case.
Dad would have been a hundred this year. I envy the Trolls for their longevity.

I like prehnite very much myself, Zadzi - especially when it's combined with turmalin crystals. I'm happy you've found and enjoy this thread Thank you so much for your loving comments, G0lden and Leanan. Actually the giant emerald was the final kick to start this series - Cutter and Leetah were indeed perfect for it. And they insisted on company ... ^^ I can appreciate pebbles as much as semi-precious stones, Trollbabe. My necklaces are often based on raw stones and natural crystals ... those stones are less shiny but have so much character! *hug* Thank you for sharing your memories and feelings.
Just Aerial ... both aquamarine crystal and the elf ...
- Aerial
Air and clouds are obvious. It's your part to make sense of the black turmalin...

Really amazing, Embala! I like that you placed Aroree in the blue crystal, behind the black one!

That's how my mind works, Tymber. While I DO one thing, my mind discovers, explores and plans two or three other things!
I thought you would like this one, PC. I have some more of those pillar crystals in my folder but this one was for Aroree without doubt. Blue sky and clouds ... and this incredible clearness.
I'm happy you enjoy these shards, Wolfie. Thank you for looking in to comment! Maybe the black turmaline is the peak of Blue Mountain ... ^^

To a degree, I kind of thought the blue was Blue Mountain, and the black was Winnie and her wiles growing up from within it, Aroree becoming separated from the darkness of the rest of the Gliders.
The black accents the whole crystal an makes it look Kryptonian, though, which makes you wonder if the High Ones were perhaps from that... dead... planet?
(Yesh, the more I think about it, the funnier the comparison is: we see flying, energy projection (both Rayak), invincibility (shield dude, cant remember hsi name at the moment), time travel, abnormal strength, "super powers" that are attributed to being from another planet, they came from a dying world in a crystal ship with knowledge conveyed through crystal extentions of that ship, they had to reclaim said ancestrial crystal refuge... many parallels could be draw !)
