@ Tymber: I'll pause my efforts in becoming a non-smoker for a few days as I'll be going on vacation with my best friend and I don't want her to suffer the withdrawal effects. A stroppy, growling owl is thoroughly unwanted during our stay on my favorite island.

Both of my parents quit smoking when I was 15. I wasn't home much, especially at the 6 mo. mark. They were both grumpy.

One month into this, and im doing much better, except for making the mistake of digging up a piece of iron ore (ouch). I did not believe such a place was possible in these times.
Ive managed to steer my friend away from the older talk radio listeners around here. Hes also noticed how much President Dingus sounds like someone of another time. Whew.
In turn, he has also helped me get back in touch with parts of myself i had almost forgotten. The other day we went up to a Tibetan stupa in our mountains here, one of several, this one devoted to a monk who by all iconography was a Vajragharba. And there at 9000 feet, you can see all the valley (that is if it werent for poor California being on fire). Ironically this was the day after i realized Buddhism had a terrible view of the animal realm.
Goal accomplished. Wed been wondering when wed be ready to go up there.
I now wake up happy and refreshed. go out and walk, collecting herbs and stones... the green ones of course lol.... I feel like im living out a fantasy most of us on this forum have.

I am happy. I am content. Life is spectacularly fine.
There are always things, but I can't be bothered to be bothered by them. I'll just deal with them as they roll in and roll out. No worries. Hakuna Matata.

Chillin. I actually got a couple of things done for a change. I also started on another small project.

Well, there you have it. Made from lavender, chamomile and a really common local plant in place of yarrow, this stuff actually turns aggravated damage into normal damage with even one application. Should be a hit in this town. We actually have the German chamomile plants growing here in Colorado as well, which when put in the composition tell leukotriene b4 to shove it to stop the inflammation. Ive found for some reason cortisone does not work on this allergy at all.
And wouldnt you know that its actually to nickel, and this explains why the old legends are telling you to use the worst cast iron available. Speaking of the old legends, ive noticed something.
I have a problem getting sunglasses that fit due to a big fat head. In all the sources ive never found anyone with ears but every depiction of a trooping faerie ive ever seen has a big fat head Everyone in "Riders of the Sidhe" - big fat head Finvarra - big fat head Everyone in EQ - big fat head Windblade - big fat head
this is apparently due to a mutation in PTEN which in addition to installing high speed internet in the brain takes the chains off of HIF (like all mutations of this sort seem to) so in addition, yes, it it used to store air. And large amounts of nasal congestion at times.
Theres only one known reason for this sort of adaptation and i cant help but think there used to be a lot more people like this happily spearfishing off the coast of Ireland before the Irish showed up. And if i recall correctly it was the river and the sea that promised the return of these people. Thats really perceptive for people 4000 years ago.
Note also what this is doing to the brain and suddenly we can see at a biochemical level how intelligence probably evolved in the first place (HIF = BDNF, NO/entropic signalling).
I gotta write something on all this. Maybe then theyll quit criminalizing evolution and heaping extra labels on it.
