| I am looking at the Original Quest only - because that is, without a doubt, my favorite chunk of ElfQuest. And to me, has so many great moments (both joyful and tragic).
So if you had to pick just one moment in the Original Quest that you would say is your favorite - which one would it be?

| Do you mean the whole first quest from issue 1 - 21? or just the first story which ends with Leetah and Cutters joining? | |

Sorry, yes, the original 1-20 (and 21, if you can count that). ___________________________________________________ Signature image by Embala. <3

| Indeed, there are many moments. But if I had to name one: Dem Snowball. Yes. Down Ember's jacket. Muahaha. Somebody showed a sense of humor. ^^

| Yes! That moment was so great! I simply thought: Yesyesyesyes! Ember needed that. And the little wolf found that funny and took it for a game to play. As a draftsman, I always cling to individual images rather than entire sequences. first place on my favourite-list . panel 3: Rayek looks so gorgeous! I could melt away! panel 2: Rayek looks so cute! I could silly hopping around him ! But hey, looking over the page i must admit: the whole scene is wonderful, beginning from the introduction of Ekuar (he deserves praises , that good buddhist-monkh-like wise one) until this reminiscence of Rayek in good old Sun Village days (And i loved very much to see a zwoot again, i like those hairy big critters). | |

| Tough question. But I have to say it is when Aroree takes Skywise on a flight. And his reaction.

| That's what I think shows that the original 20 (21) issues were so wonderful. There's so many great moments, that if you had to pick - it's difficult - and people have different answers. And 20 issues isn't a very large span. So that means plenty of issues were full of tremendous moments from cover to cover.

Ugh. So many, for myself as well. But if there was one single moment... it's when Redlance is defending the Go-Back children from the trolls. http://elfquest.com/read/OQ/OQ19/oq19-22.jpg Because of how this gentle soul, who'd seen what Madcoil (was capable of though he wasn't there for the attack), seen One-Eye die, now a war had changed him so drastically, despite all he'd already endured. http://elfquest.com/read/OQ/OQ20/oq20-4.jpg ___________________________________________________ Signature image by Embala. <3

| My all-time, absolute favourite moment, the ONE scene that made me fall utterly in love with Elfquest, was the simple dialogue between young Suntop and Cutter : " It's hard to sleep at night! " " I know. " ___________________________________________________

| Great topic. My favorite moment hasn't changed since first reading it over 30 years ago. It is when Rayek tells the story of how he met Ekuar and describes his reaction: "Hearing...seeing...Rayek knew that he would never again harbor self-pity. Compassion for another had stolen into its place." http://elfquest.com/read/index.php?s=OQ/OQ16&p=21 That single panel...that moment...will always remain my favorite. | |

| The pages that made me actually follow EQ as a fan, not just as a casual reader of comics:

| Very interesting, Embala, that the soul-healing scene is important to you. This scene here is lovely and could be something for your palace -travelling character, and it is one of my favourites. The meaning of the story is not as important to me as the individual drawn pictures. But here besides the beauty of the pictures (luv the art of Kotbw) I love the power and the joy of working magic: TADAAAH, the resurrection of the palace Like katcombs I came to EQ with the first novel. I was awestruck by panel 3 and 7: wow, what a cool near ancient egypt-looking warrior! And this is so cute: And I loved the embroidery scene here: and the whole rest of that first graphic novel, it is so cute and stands alone seperatly from the rest. It has its very own quality. | |
