So Complete Elfquest v. 5 currently up for pre-order at Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Complete-ElfQuest-5-Wendy-Pini/dp/1506706061/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1514041061&sr=8-4&keywords=complete+elfquest

Not sure if I'll grab it or not. I like the Wild Hunt stories loads more than Shards (aka The Elfquest D&D campaign), but maybe not enough to buy the collection when I have the old trades and can read it all online.

I do wonder if they'll wind up collecting the WaveDancer and Forevergreen stuff.

I collected the Reader's Collection way back when and haven't bothered with the new release. That said, I perked up the moment I saw this because I adore Wild Hunt.

Are these "Complete Elfquest" things black and white (pure line-work) or are they in grayscale or coloured, I wonder. Because for artistic reasons and curiousity and completeness I am missing the sheer linework - and maybe it is in those books? I saw a few sample pages and some seemed lines, some grayscale. (But I do have grayscale in most of my Reader's Collections already.)

The first two cover the OQ, Siege, and Kings and they're purely linework. That was the main draw for me; I really cannot stand the coloring job Wendy did on the OQ. The third one has the first few Wendy issues of Hidden Years in color, then transitions to greyscale for the later issues and Dreamtime. I assume this one will be greyscale as well, but I'm not certain.

I'm a collector ... of the mad kind. geek I probably will buy them.

I rather like Wild Hunt - young Chieftess Ember, original Teir (sorry Mrs. Pini), Lehrighen ...

I'd be surprised if BB and Foreevergreen would make it in the "Complete Elfquest" ... b/w and greyscale would make the chars even more unrecoognizable. Rolling Eyes

*would like to see the Wavedancers tho*
