We should all just take our time and have fun with this new transition.

Let me repeat from another thread...
KITTY!!!!!!!!!!!! *glomps Serval*
Excellent gifs, short form is that a LOT of people are likely to flood into here over time because we just MISS this sort of format.
Also, Kathleen, I highly suggest following the Path of the Rewrite if you are that embarrassed by the old form. Not that there's anything WRONG with "over the top dramatics", goodness knows I fall into that category myself on occasion.

Welcome back!
You know.. I just realized that we can add "friends" and some folks have been friending me! So of course I added them! Why not? I'm just... not sure what the point is, because aren't we all friends here?
I also noticed you can add "foes" to a foes list. That's kind of cool. I don't have any foes- but this made me want some. Except, i think that makes it so those people can't message or interact with you. Just a suggestion, but I think foes should have the option to attempt to destroy each other- isn't that what being a foe is all about?

Hey, remember who you're talking to, here. I don't count Rayek as a foe, even at that moment. Just narrow focused on His Way. The Pinis I think are somewhat the same - excited by the new technologies at their fingertips and perhaps a bit focused on having the public conversation under their control - and losing touch with the needs of the fans.
The whole "Tribemate from tribemate, friend from friend" narration that comes after that scene seems really apt. I don't dispute their right to make changes but they could at least have warned us.
And most of my threads, that I know I made, I can't find on the forum, but then many of them seem to have gotten eaten after the second hacker attack anyway.

Good point Manga. I think maybe the Pinis got a dose of "be careful what you wish for." They wanted to bring fans together on their website and have discussions- but then, they got a bunch of people discussing stuff and it wasn't what they expected.
I don't get the impression that they've always stayed on top of technology- which makes sense for their generation. They only recently started using their Facebook page in a smart way- and I bet Rob is actually doing it for them. Direct interaction with fans is probably not all it's cracked up to be either. It must suck to put so much time and effort into something, and then have people like us throw criticism at you. Still... that sort of comes with the territory of having a forum, right?
They always did say that their art mirrored their lives. Be careful what you wish for is the theme of the story now, right?
It's true for us as well, I guess. We asked Richard to participate and pay attention to the forum more. We got what we asked for. Heck.

It's funny... with all the changes on the "official SoC"... I was frequenting it less and less. But now... I've spent more time here in the last 2 days than I spent on the SoC in the last half year or so! Love catching up with y'all.

Hey y'all, I didn't go to the Scroll much these days, once the blue-grey layout was updated it felt different and bleh. I lurked a bit from time to time and enjoyed seeing familiar faces and I'll probably do the same here! I joined the Scroll in uhhh... 2004? I think? and I've always gone by Wildfire (I'm on Facebook as well, my name's Ida)
(also, rereading the early threads on the Scroll, I'd like to apologize profusely for my horrible English back in those days oh my god)
