I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I have always wondered why there are wolfriders with "lion" in their name. Because there are no lions where they live, right? So how do they know what a lion is? Question

Maybe there are pumas, which are also known as mountain lions.

I've wondered the same for quite some time, Sifra.

Made up my mind that there are 3 possible explanations:
1. The authors made a mistake. Easy but not a good explanation.
2. This is Abode - a lionlike animal CAN live in those forests - or was seen by Freefoot during his journeys.
3. ... the cuguar came in mind - the mountain lion Leanan pointed to. BEST chance. Smile

In the Canadian Rockies it's just very common for the old folks to call the cougar a mountain lion.

So... I've been looking a lot over TrollHammer's link lately. Basically I'll believe anything that doesn't contradict the comics, so the bit about Zarhan rather than Prey-Pacer being the father of Skyfire? Naaah.

Then there's this bit from Zarhan's bio:

Don't you notice - Cheseri died and because recognition was more demanding as any of us would have guessed she became the first of the compost elves. When Zahran finally gave in Cheseri gave birth to those fungusamungus creatures.

From what I've read she did indeed survive. However, their kid was somewhat... difficult... as a result of basically waiting ten years to be born.

Well, here are a few corrections.

Dart and Kimo were never actually lovemates. However, Dart was lifemates with Shushen, and then with Talmah (together with Serrin). He's also lovemates with Mender now.

Ember and Teir are still lifemates. Ember

Khorbasi is - of course - the son of Yun. He's also lovemates with Tingeh now.

Shukopek has a wife called Hartha, introduced in Final Quest 10. (They have five kids - four boys and a girl - but these haven't got names yet. At least we don't know the names.)
