| Really? That's today? Oh no, I'm missing it!
.....
Nope, I can't even pretend to care, sorry. I don't even know who "we" (the Netherlands) sent this year. And we never get a high place anyway. ___________________________________________________

| You sent some lady who apparently was a bit rude and risque and some practice-run. Her dress at the show was decent enough.
I kinda hoped she'd be naked.
Finland; what the fuck? ___________________________________________________ "When you do what you love best, you shine where you love."Come play the Who Am I game!

| Oh gawd, I just checked the Eurovision website out of curiosity and discovered we sent Trijntje Oosterhuis.
Bleeeehhhh. We're not progressing to the finals, I'm guessing. As we almost never do. ___________________________________________________

| It was the second song. And I doubt they had 126 people on stage; bit above the allowed 6. ___________________________________________________ "When you do what you love best, you shine where you love."Come play the Who Am I game! | |

| anyone know what we sent this year? I've been without proper internet and missed all of the build up. More to the point, do I want to know what we sent this year and should I apologise yet? ___________________________________________________ Zebbed as the First Lady of Naughtyniceness! | I think it's fun how I totally didn't agree with the newspaper's opinion - the songs they hated, I felt were okay, and the songs they loved, I never wanted to hear again. I think the Norwegian song was okay, but you're right about it lacking the eurovision feel, Blackbird. I'm just happy we didn't send the pizza song - how can someone honestly think that would have won? | |

| OMG..the pizza song...I thought that was just a joke, how did it even get in there?? They should have know most people have such a crappy taste of humor, so it get a lot of votes What song did you like? | I liked the Norwegian song, especially for choosing a serious topic... but it was against a pretty stiff competition. My favourites were Azerbaidjan (Elnur's voice is a-ma-zing!), Montenegro, Slovenia, Italy and Estonia, though... but when I heard the Swedish entry the first time I sort of knew the winner. That stuff is ESC material. I'm not even disappointed that Germany and Austria got 0 points... That's what I figured too. I know some of the songs aren't too serious, but that was just ridiculous - Blackbird wrote:

A Monster like me is a song I could picture in a musical or something Ah, I didn't think of that, but now that you say it, it would be great for a musical! I haven't listened to all of the songs, but of those I heard I really liked Montenegro's, I though Israel's was catching and San Marino's was cute. The Swedish was catchy too, I suppose, but I had to hear it twice before I remembered the lyrics and for me, a winner song should stick after the first time But congrats, Sweden! My alltime favorites would be Fairytale from 2009 and Helene Bøksle's "Vardlokk" from 2011, a real shame we didn't send that, but "Haba Haba" was very catchy too, though

Yay, I like the serious songs as well! We need more of them, I'm honestly thinking of writing one myself. I think I'll entitle it Lacrymosa. - Stormcatcher wrote:

Then Norway isn't alone in that category anymore! Though Norway is in the lead With four times, so Yeah - Stormcatcher wrote:

Yup, the original winner, Andreas Kümmert, withdrew because the ESC would have caused him "too much stress" (something he MIGHT have known before taking part in the competition...). Here's the story: http://www.dw.de/germany-startled-by-its-eurovision-winners-withdrawal/a-18299788 Don't think Germany would have scored any better even if they had sent that straggly beard instead of Ann Sophie... ___________________________________________________ 「からだの傷ならなおせるけれど心のいたではいやせはしない」
