Fun with Sims!

I'm sure I'm not the first to do some EQ inspired sims, but I couldn't withhold these. Anybody else into Sims 4 or one of the earlier versions?

I made Rayek once upon a time. Those are nifty - very well done. And wow, the quality of the images has really improved since my last foray.

Is the new Sims 4 any good? I know I sound lame, but I really miss the original Sims from way back in the day. It was so much fun and kind of hilarious.

It's pretty funny at times, but I'm mostly interested in it because of all the fan-made additions that allow you to mod the game. I have never been a gamer, but I appreciate a game that allows you to build your own ideas and characters.

I remember that there were modifiable things, persons etc. for Sims2, and there were also a few Elquest characters, Rayek among them.

I love Lance's scarlet braids. ^^ His facial features are so our dear treeshaper - with adorable freckles. The vest is made for him.
His Fallon grabed just the right duds and shows a familiar, calm and self-confident attitude.

Speaking of attitude ... *ouch* Don't mess with Velma. Who's she? Ray's lost twin sister?

She's one of my favorite chars ... and that's very much her style and color scheme! I even knew it looked familiar ...

... but all that came in mind was Vurdah

They are all recognizable. I guess there are some fan made mods for the ears? Or does the Sims program offer these modifications?
Is it true that the game does not have DRM and it's playable offline?

I think it's playable offline. I don't know about DRM, but the nice thing about this game is all the fan made custom content that is available on several independent sites. The producer of the game note that they have not tested or approved the custom content, but otherwise does nothing to discourage it.
So yeah, if you shop around a bit you can find pretty much anything you need. I have even been making a few items of my own...

Your Rayek is handsome as ever, jaRf! He always manages to catch my eye - in EQ and elsewhere. You did well with modern Leetah - her eyes are spot on. Ouch- Ember shows temper! I can see her this way as a teenager nowadays. Shenshen is fun! This hair and cheerfulness is so her. I totally like Nightfall. Even without the "perfect" hairstyle and clothing all your EQ chars show the right overall appearance and attitude.

Thanks for the glimpse on other people's EQ sims as well. Great Winnowill by azurajen - pampered and schemering. Believabel Cutter and Leetah by jonas3333 - I can "smell" the mood and attitudes of their early relationship. Especially Leetah is so the desert rose. Stunning job by velvet69 - she got incredibly close to the original outfits. I suppose she was able to design her own clothes or at least make edits. Moonshade is spot on. Lovable Tyleet, serene Venka and badass Kahvi are amazing examples. Scoutrer looks so lost ... but Dewshine cheers him up. Awesome takes on Clearbrook - the martial arts discipline suits her.

I'm aware this is "old stuff" but still pleasant to look at.

Nah, this one here for Sims is not mine. I just pointed to the place where some of these EQ mods for older Sims games can be found. I hope I'll be able to do some calendar work this year, though.
