Halloween House of EQ Horrors

The artwork I use for the ornaments is not mine but mostly original EQ art.




Some years ago I've discovered that all the classic horror figures can be found in EQ ... at least how I see it.

Thus I've built EQ's Little House of Horror for Halloween (originally posted old Scroll of Colors)



There are different possibilities to fill the windows ... this is my choice. The usual suspects. ^^

... looked for renters and furnished the rooms to their liking ...


... painted the walls - and finally the outdoor facilities need some attention.

Don't think that I must explain my choices - or even the meaning - but I will share my thoughts about it. These characters should review the clichés of horror movies and Halloween, being frightening and - if possible - funny, too.

Alien - Petalwing, because he always reminds me of this comic joke where a huge alien head pops out of a tiny flying saucer
Devil - Haken ... he has horns, he has fire - he made himself looking like a creature risen from hell ... and he's determined to destroy
Dragon - Madcoil, definitely the closest creature I can get
Dwarf - Proto-Trolls, born "last minute" to antipode the giant ... the only small figures I could think of - short, cute and mean
Frankenstein - Smelt, just for serving the horror cliché of the huge, green, mean but also tragic monster
Ghost - the Go-Backs from the Palace scene were fitting best in the composition
Giant - Olbar ... after NightAngel has casted him for Zombie I had to add the Mountain Tall
Hellhound - Peacehound, made from and for evil
Black Lagoon Creature - Surge, a finned creature of the water, defending his habitat - and behaving like a monster sometimes
Mummy - Orolin, dead and in wrapsuff ... any doubts possible?
Skeleton - Bone Woman, her bone dress must count this time
Vampire - Winnowill, the prototype of the seducing vampire for me ... and she somehow sucks the live out of her people!
Werewolf - Timmorn, again serving the cliché of the hairy beast howling at the moon
Witch - Old Maggoty is the classic witch for me
Zombie - Troll mutants ... ZOMBIES! was my very first thought spotting them ... mindless, salivating and elf eating

So ... who would be on YOUR list?

It's Halloween coming ... and I had a ghostly experiance. Here in my thread ... no kidding!

I was looking at the first post - the Horror House,  started to scroll down ... and suddenly there was a movement within the picture, close to the Go-Back spirits. Havn't really seen anything ... like mist at the edge of my eyesight. I kept looking - there WAS something! And then I've detected Boo, sitting in the cloudy structure above the roof like it was made for him to nestle in. Little bother missed ghostly company ... or needed a rest?

My sister tells me she bought candy for Halloween, but she and her boyfriend ate all of it! She says they will turn out the lights and pretend not to be home.

My husband tried to get me to open the candy cases tonight. He says the boxes are hard to open, and I should make sure I get them open tonight.

He says the Reese's boxes are hardest to open, and I should start with them.

The HELL O WINN is a nice touch.

Sorry I’ve been away this week, but I wanted to share what had me busy ^_^ My friend from Indiana came down again last Wednesday (and stayed until today!) to help me prepare for the HUGE Trick or Treat night at my house. It was scheduled here for Thursday night instead of Halloween night (out of safety reasons for the kids)

My son was a huge hit as the Grim Reaper. He would hide between the houses and then slowly walk out when people weren’t paying attention just to stand quietly beside them. Then the people would scream and jump when they noticed him

So as you can see, it’s a TON of preparation (which kept away for awhile) , but SO worth it! The kids love seeing the house all decked out, and I also have fog machines going and spooky sounds playing!

Friday was work day, and then off visiting another friend who wanted us to go to a spooky fair, but I had to sit that one out due to an allergy attack hitting me out of the blue  And Saturday I spent the whole day packing up alllllll the decorations and cleaning up all the mess!

And then TODAY was my gun safety/shooting class O___o I nearly forgot all about it due to being so busy, but it was an all day event and once the class part was over, we went outside for the shooting part and I did exceptionally well for being my very first time!

I also found out that even though I am right handed, I am LEFT eye dominant, so the instructor gave me my options and recommendations on how to shoot, and he was very impressed once I got started! So I earned my certificate with flying colors! *happy dances*

Sadly, things are still going to be rather hectic. My volunteer job helping with the park decorations runs all the way through till Christmas on top of my other morning job, BUT I hope to still have my evenings free until my grave spray business starts towards the end of November O_____O

And I love this time of year *giggles*

Spooky-funny decorations all over the place. Love the "Beware of Werewolves" sigh. Death himdelf is up for mischief - Austin must have had lots of fun! It's a pity the FB links work for members only  *sigh - I'm used to* And a beautiful Halloween witch reigns her haunted world. FABuLOUS!

You are super busy! Srory for the spoilt spooky fair. At least your gun safety/shooting class was a success. Please, make sure this gun can only reached by responsible people! Just ... keep it SAFE.
