I'm not usually one to post this kind of stuff but this one was very close to me. Not only in distance, but one of the victims was a girl my daughter grew up with

Courtney, I remember you as a young girl, just starting out in life. You came to all my daughters birthday parties, you asked for second helpings of the cake I made. I remember you. Sleep well.

Was really sad to hear about this. Whole new angle to terrorism: Manchester, like Boston, not a political target. The exit crowd at a concert, and a show attended by girls and teens.

I wonder if they were trying to make a statement because our President met with the Saudis about fighting terrorism. Yet the target was neither in the Kingdom nor in the USA.

Wishing healing and peace to the British people, to those who lost family and friends, and especially to the police and first responders.

I am shocked that this even occurred. These sweet youngsters, just going about their business after having fun at a concert. To think one group would find it okay to kill someone who has never done them any wrong. God, now has many new precious angels and may they dance with him in joy.

Now as for our President, what an incredible lack of any true outrage over this terrible event. He should have shown far more support for one of our most important allies and used stronger language in condemning this horrific act.

Very tragic. And it sickens me that some of my Americans are using it to push their agendas. As for Trump's reaction,I expected no less from Ol' Tiny Hands.

President Trump's statement, quoted from USA Today: "I won’t call them monsters because they would like that term. They would think that’s a great name. I will call them from now on losers, because that’s what they are. They’re losers. And we’ll have more of them. But they’re losers. Just remember that..."

"Our society can have no tolerance for this continuation of bloodshed. We cannot stand a moment longer for the slaughter of innocent people.... And in today’s attack, it was mostly innocent children. The terrorists and extremists, and those who give them aid and comfort, must be driven out of our society forever. This wicked ideology must be obliterated, and I mean completely obliterated. Life must be protected."

Fred Rogers often told this story about when he was a boy and would see scary things on the news: “My mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world.”

Here are the helpers: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/24/world/europe/homeless-hero-manchester.html?_r=0
