Last Words in Elfquest - contains spoilers!

Just a list of - you guessed it - last words in Elfquest. (Decided to move the content of my other posts into this one)

Just a thought, what if someone says "My bread! My fresh-baked bread!", or something random like that. And then we never hear from them again. Those could be considered "last words."

In fact there were LOTS of words afterwards - think-talk. ^^ Even here the story is contradictive.

The Random Trolls appear several times in Acne's Register of Troll History and Ancestry.

Unlike other Troll families, the Randoms don't trace their lineage back to one common ancestor. They can best be described as part society and part geneology.

Sometime between the Palace crash and the southern migration, a Troll king, whose name is now lost, appointed his finest warriors to serve as his personal guard detail. These warriors were chosen at Random, a cavern where the king held court. When under attack, the King would hold his ground in this cavern, surrounded by guards who were sometimes killed at Random.

As centuries passed, the Random guards, who included both Troll men and women, married in and out of their group. Long after the original king died, and later kings and queens chose other locations for their respective thrones, important events like weddings, initiations and estate distributions continued to be held at Random.

Trolls descended from the original Randoms bear the Random name, but the name has also been bestowed upon Trolls who serve their respective leaders honorably. After the Palace Wars, some Troll warriors adopted "Random" as a kind of title. Thus, the name Random appears randomly.

In modern times, a dedicated group of Random Trolls gathered in an abandoned human dwelling and began collecting, writing and distributing manuscripts of Troll history. These scholars became known as the Random House Publishers. Famous last words of Trolls killed in battle is one of their ongoing projects.

How? "Perfect" wasn't his last words. Elves send.

As you stated it was not. There was sending ... a lot.

Yet Rayek said it in a way which was likely to make think that this was actually the last utterance. Either sort of a lie ... or kinda contradictive, isn't it? Or my personal interpretation ...

I'd say the keyword here is heard. You don't hear sending.

I thought that was strange - the way Rayek worded it and left out everything else - but perhaps he felt that Cutter's last vocal word would bring more comfort than his sending about dying. Or maybe he was still too shaken by the Tim-Tam revelation to be able to share anything in sending.

I like to think that he went with what he thought would be most comforting to Leetah and Skywise.
