Vinnie Paul, the co-founder of the heavy metal band Pantera has passed. Paul, age 54, passed on Friday night. No word as of yet on the cause of his passing. Vinnie with his younger brother Darrell (Dimebag) founded Pantera in 1981, the band started out as a glam metal band which later transformed into a harder heavy metal band. Pantera was very successful until Darrell was shot and killed by a gunman on December 8, 2004. Vinnie did other projects after his brother's death, but never fully returned to music on a full time basis.


Vinnie may you rest in peace and find comfort with Darrell. Heaven just got a little be noisier.
