hey elf folks, I don`t know if there is such a thread still existing. If so, you can tell me . In this thread I would like to sample music, you find fitting for an elf tribe , be it one of the comics or of a fictional tribe of your own. I am such an audio-elf, I need music to expanse my fantasy at drawing and spinning a tale. So I have masses of music for elf tribes.
I will start now with the Sun Folk: When I think of the Sun Folk I find that the hindi music and parts of their culture would fit far more to them than arabian music and culture. Here is one of my most favourite hindi-movie-music clip, if you add pointed ears and reduce their hight, they already seem to be Sun Villagers. Even the language could be so very much "sun folkish". This mass of impressions of those many people dancing , the overwhelming colours ,the saris (clothes) with the gold weaving of the women and the richness of the hindi culture mirrored in their buildings, sculptures etc. are so superb.

Now I've found a band that makes such an atavistic music that only suits the Harpy tribe. If the Wolf Riders were barbarians to Rayek, what would the Harpy Elves be to him?

I think if the High Ones in general and specially Haken would have (soundtrack- background-theme-) music , it would be pompous traditional Chinese music (and mixed with modern orchestra instruments as in here). At 6:45 it `s pompous enough for majestic Haken to appear in all his glory on a little wooden bridge in a luxuriant blooming chinese style garden (formed by treeshaper magic).

Here is the music from the movie "Hunt for red october". Some elements fits to the Sea Raiders when it comes to their past. Of course they did not do any revolution in October or at any other time, nor do they speak or chant in Russian but the vibe of a break and a new beginning by turning towards the sea ,all these things capture the keynote of the sea-elves' past.

Back then, in summer 2018 , when I was inhaling this music intensely , I had the idea of my Sea Raiders and made the first designs of Yeee, Sharuk, Ortega and Blackfin. Although I was no big fan of this series , the soundtrack has so much of the Sea Raiders: There is this adventurous undersea vibe. The music is still cult for me. I was withholding this for long but now I would like to share it with you if you are interested.
Here is something for Embala: The off-voice was so cool , I decided it to be Sharuks voice: His typical saying should be this: Beneath the surface lies the future. (love that quote) So introducing Sharuk`s voice speaking (and presenting a Sea Quest series ) :
And here he`s talking again:

Ok, since this is my own thread because it seems there are not very much audio freaks like me here wwho transform audio stuff into Elfquest related stuff in their brains, I will sample my audio snippets here concerning my Sea Raiders. here is something I find superfunny and I say those who answered this roll call fits so much to a part of my Sea Raiders. Some of them have decided to go on a hijacked human ship.

heh heh, today its another audio snippet , when Long John Silver (Tim Curry) appears , just close the eyes or scroll down and imagine my "Silver" -Sea Raider (but his name refers more to his hair than to the character in the movie) singing and speaking. (and when he speaks of dark hearted scoundrels, you know very well that he refers to himself , muahahaha just listen to this dirty laughter, I love Tim Currys voice )

This is a must have in this thread, the great vibe music for the pirates among the Sea Raiders and a source for drawing inspiration, even if I had posted in here a thousand times

Haha, this is so cool. I imagine a Disneyan movie with an adorable villain Areias , after he killed King Triton and after he himself ascended the throne of Atlantica. So after he got rid of his yoke as Triton's hit man and was finally able to make a life of his own. As the new regent, he swims through the palace, swarmed by the toadys and the languishing womenfolk.

It's great that you're also posting music here, yay!
Since I'm not that keen on Wolf Riders, someone else has to take over this faction as well. Thanx to you PCoquelin! Now we have wolf tribe music here.
And Embala posted the music for Starcall? Or is it the call, he "hears" that takes him into space? The Sea Raiders flee frightened back and forth across the water as this space music resounds. Everyone finds these strange noises creepy. Haken listens enraptured to these sounds and closes his eyes while he sinks into this space music. (yes very Denglish again, lol) Thanx to you too for posting.
I love to hear music that fits or describes a character/tribe, or that has the vibe.
I found some noice musics too ,just didn`t post them. But here they come.
first: Hakens arrival attire (with those long shoulder pieces) reminds me somehow of Asian attire. That`s why I often think of him, when I listen to asian music. Found this Haky vibe music today. (Ok, I don`t think of him as a Kung Fu fighter, but the martialic vibe fits his dangerousity.
(Next I had previously posted here, sorry) second now for my own crazy OC`s again : Oh this is so much freshly crowned King Areias after breaking free from King Triton's oppression and tutelage (by killing him , ouch!), this sly, grinning treacherous villain. Buble sings the piece so wonderfully casually cool. You could hear a typical narcissistic Disney villain here. Oh, I love the idea when Areias looks (music at 3:00) with a triumphant grin and a smug exclamation in a shell mirror held up to him by 3 courtier girls who adore him. (yup, see my last post post, its the "Feeling good song" from Michael Buble.
third: Michael Buble again, because he sings just so cool fittingly for Areias. King Areias sea-dancing Marimba (if this should be with Yeee, than she should be very good trained in it, else it wouldn`t make any sense.LOL)
