There would be so much to rant about. I just need to look at my direct surroundings in various aspects, I need to look at my country, or just the whole society and world. I'll find enough every day.
Ranting would include society, politics, about the human psyche and behaviour, technical things (well, technical issues that are resulting from human greed) and so on.
I got more than enough to rant about, sadly. But it would not help much and maybe even keep me from solving issues.
So maybe I better focus on the positive things that are still there.

Can we please get away from the Spanish calls. For the every one normal call the other nine are complete idiots are they don't listen. Grant you I have to use a translator and they may not tell the customer what I am telling them. But come one, enough long drawn out excuses. I just heard about it last night. (I'm really bad at keeping up with the news) The fact the group dissolved themselves makes it look really iffy to me.
The whole 'Our mole'-thing they keep saying just makes it worse.

No no. The "mole" was from TV2, who - as part of the documentary - sent someone into the mosque to ask for advice.

Oh... I just got the impression that various (young?) people told that some things were going on, and tv2 then sent a mole to ask the iman(sp?) for advice, but that she wasn't actually involved herself.
And apparently the "iman" isn't really an iman either, just someone who acts as if he is, without any sort of education.

BTW, am I the only one who's kinda scared/saddened by the fact that the mole also got shitty advice from another woman? Whoever that woman is, she must be in a pretty bad place to think it's okay if your husband beats you.

No... wait! That's right; the race is gonna continue today, and the season will continue until sometime in October, and after this season there'll be another, and after that another, and another, and so on. So all-in-all this particular stage getting cancelled will not make a big difference in the bigger scheme of things. It might make a difference for the GC in this particular race, but so would having the riders continue riding in snow and sub-freezing temperatures. Main difference is that having them ride yesterday might have made a difference in the people getting injured sense.
Oh, and don't give me that but back in the days they used to just ride in this sort of weather! crap! You mean those "wonderful" ol' days when the riders weren't wearing helmets and nobody seemed to care on bit about safety? Yeah... let's return to those days! It took people dying before helmets were made mandatory, do you really want to repeat that? Is the "idylic" memory of something that happened around 30 years ago really more important than living, breathing people? These guys aren't just riders. Heard about giving people a two-minutes-warning before shutting down their electricity? I'd been working on my exam assignment! It was pure chance I'd just saved and closed it for a bit, so I didn't lose any of my work. But yeah... I would have preferred if I'd had the chance to shut down my computer properly.

I can't handle the EQ Facebook group anymore, and it's not the people there, it's Wendy. She's SO defensive and SO just...ugh. Judgmental about fan art, gets pissy about people calling them "tree elves," (THEY COME OUT OF TREES AND FUNGUSAMUNGUS IS A LOT OF SYLLABLES, OKAY) and everything that comes out in modern times obviously was done by Elfquest first. She posted a link to an article about the latest in the Zelda franchise and how it's rumored that Link can be male or female, and how Cutter basically did that first (despite the fact that we didn't know about Tammain's existence until recently) and had nothing else of value to offer. She did the same thing regarding the Miss Peregrine movie, saying that there's nothing new to that story and it's all been done before.

The depth of the barrenness of my field of fucks given is astonishing. I'll take an homage. I'll take an echo. I'll even give you the silly wolf helmet The Hound wears in Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire, even though that's not exactly ground-breaking design, barbarians have been wearing wolf pelts on their heads for forever. But I'm super tired of how everything she posts is either "ELFQUEST DID IT FIRST" or some other angry comment about fan art or innocent fan behavior.

edit: I feel like a total tool posting all this, but...I think meeting the Pinis and how that experience was, and the destruction of the Scroll just...seriously damaged the little girl inside of me who loved Elfquest, and that colors how I experience it now, which is devastating.
