Yes we did! But as you see, Nonna, Recognition doesn't care - as much as Recognition can care - about previous relationships, or anything. It just happens. Sometimes, it leads to love, but not always.

Cutter and I... had some difficulties we needed to sort out first.

You were being... pretty stubborn about it, Leetah. But I'll be honest, I didn't like Strongbow too much at first, and at least I knew him, he hadn't carried me off on his wolf.

I know. When Sandsparkle and Skimback recognized, I was so jealous. And Sandsparkle is my friend.

How come you didn't stay together then? Threematings are not common among your people? Not that I complain, of course.

I've been wondering that too. When Scouter and I recognized, it only made my fondness of Dewshine even stronger.

I always said it would take the High Ones' return for me to recognize, and I guess... now they have... we have.

Or maybe you just can't decide whether or not you recognize, my very young lifemate.

You don't always need recognition to have cubs, though. Redlance and I had some help making Tyleet.

And us Go-Backs have done away with the need of any magic entirely.
