I wanted to post some more funnies but I'm not in the right mood for this tonight. I'll show some of my "cards" instead - collage quickies with a standard size and layout.

Originally those small combinations were puzzle parts of bigger collages or function tests how well two scenes would merge. Then I started to find  more posibilities for a pleasant look going with a message.

I love seeing to old collages, great memories.

Time for one of my first collages to return. Created very early when I learned how to handle my little programm there are many pictures blended together in one row. You must take a closer look if you want to identify all the single ones.

Healer's Hands




At this time I was fascinated by congruences I've discovered in EQ characters and art ... and this one is another good example. It started  with a simple combination. These two pics show strong similarities yet absolute contrasts - and went well together ... sort of a sketch.



Months later I was inspired to do a "extension" - more rounded and interesting:

This is a kind of developement  study. The first collage is rather old - again from my "experimenting" time - and just a nice "sketch"




and this one resulted when I went back to the idea - much more rounded and impressive in my opinion.

That's how my profile background on an previous version of the SoC looked for a short time ... before everything was turned upside down once more. Still a nice illustration of possibilities and developement.

Guess I had a 7th sense for fitting components. You wouldn't believe how often the collage seems to grow unintentionally, in a playful kind. In this case I couldn't say what was first ... the harmonic, visual appealing picture or the idea of showing the

Let's bring back my cards - small simple combinations with standard size and layout. I consider those "quickies" as sketches - just characters with an attitude    in contrast to a fully fleshed out collage. When I've showed the first ones they brought up some discussion, suggestions, request ... thus I've ended up with quite a few of them.
It was too much fun to play with moods, environment and colors!

Well ... I was told that Cutter with his his blue eyes, white hair and black clothes can easily be seen as a god of lightening or ice. The "problem" with Cutter is - he can really fit almost everywhere!

... as his serious rival. I love how his hair imitates the sun and how his headpiece seems to bear lightnings!


Rayek - God of Fire would be great? Sure! - tho I see ...

Those cards a mainly flukes, grown by chance - true quickes with hardly any makeover. Some turned out surprisingly fascinating, some are OK ... and some I'd do different nowadays. But I still like those raw undited results.

Skywise tried to compete with Cutter's variety:

I wasn't really content with those but they were too nice to look at for being thrown away and ...

It's rather astonishing to notice that Leetah's wrath wasn't hot like the desert but icy cold!

The deadwood motive goes much better with One-Eye's mourning than Skywise's wrath.

A request for some special avatars and banners. These are some (slightly bigger) results plus ideas I realized around this theme.

Not the usual collages - Tymber called it "art manipulation" - guess it fits well for it.

It's October ... the time of death sleep ... Halloween approaching ... - a good time for drama, blood and horror.
This collage is really old in two respects - from the very beginning of my collage making and illustrating the gruesome beginnings of the Elves on the WoTMs! I wanted to show that it was a horror for the early Humans as well ... Fear has many faces.

Oh scary, but so well done.

The next collage is something new ... new in technique and result. I wanted to do an illustration for Tymber's non-canon tribe - with canon pictures. So I gathered the necessary pics from different issues and built together the scene I wanted to show - from the episode Snowblind with grab-bag elements of November 2008.

Tymber called it "art manipulation" - pretty much covers it. The following shows the puzzle parts without smaller editings like bigger teeth for Bloodfang. Hope you are interested to know, otherwise ... just look away.
