Return to Innocence AU

Vaeri suggested, and I agreed, that there should be a thread for my AUs so I don't derail Wingthing's Alternaverse thread. ^^; Here it is! Welcome ^_^

I wanted to specify "RtI AU" because I have another one, the "Sanctuary AU", but I haven't done any comics for that AU yet, just a few character designs and a little bit of script.

Plainsrunners takes place right around the same time as RtI, following (as you might guess from the title) various clans of plains elves living on the same continent as the Wolfriders, Sun Folk, Gliders, and Go-Backs (sometimes called "Iceholt"). http://amethystsadachbia.deviantart.com/art/Plainsrunners-I-p01-first-draft-352409569

Alloy in Dance, like Plainsrunners, is semi-contemporaneous with RtI. Children of the World is the direct sequel to RtI, picking up almost right where it left off. I read some of your work online a few weeks back and I think it's remarkable, funny, sexy, and just out of this world. Your artwork is just plain drop-dead GORGEOUS.

Poor Currilon XD I guess it's a good thing priests of his religion take a vow of celibacy, eh? snerk… Anyway, I kind of unofficially decided I should finish the colours on Return to Innocence before getting too deep into Children of the World again, but it's still kind of up in the air. I just gotta finish some non-EQ commissions for Vaeri and then I can get back to elves!

BTW, I'm blown away that people love my AU so much! I'm not even a real writer like Wingthing or as good an artist as Elfmom. So glad people enjoy it, though!

The shaman's reaction is interesting. But the idea that Rayek planned to straight-up murder him on sight seems a bit extreme.

Rayek's not exactly in a good frame of mind at the moment. Dizzy, still salty as heck from losing his powers, and remembers Savah's stories of humans. (I don't recall him interacting much with Winnowill's slaves, or Nonna and Adar, when he went to Blue Mountain.)

Mm. Still seems extreme to me but you have a point.

Speaking of points though, I'd think that an experienced hunter like Rayek would know it's nearly impossible to hit the heart dead-on, especially with a thrown knife. The amount of force it would take to get through the breastbone and the accuracy required together mean he'd be more likely to go for a gut shot. Same general area, it wouldn't require any art changes.

That's true. One of the reasons I always do first drafts first instead of just posting finished stuff. XD

Kicked myself in the butt to get RtI finished before the end of 2017, and so far I'm on track! Just two more pages to go!

Then I gotta write the rest of Children of the World, Alloy in Dance, and Plainsrunners… but one step at a time xD
