Originally, this guy was a request from another long time ago Scroll member, but he's far more fitting for Wiseshaman's ElfWest series. I had such fun drawing this guy. My interpretation of Bearclaw if he were a rebel cowboy Wink

The local big football team was in the super bowl one year. For those not familiar, they are called the Pittsburgh Steelers. "Steelers" meaning to represent the iron steel workers that played a HUGE part of our economy in the tri-state area. So I thought, WHO best in ElfQuest to represent the iron workers and the Steelers than Picknose the Troll!

From the Elventies series (which I am currently re-writing and drawing again), this was one of the most fun to do. Crossblade's character surrounded by the younglings of the Clan. Each cub was also an interpretation of Scroll forum members, but I have to check my archives to remember who was who. I DO remember that the little blond hair cub under Crossblade's arm is "Jeppe", and the boy on the other side is "Bloodwake"

Also from the Elventies series, this is "Kindredsoul" Yes, her eyes are weird, but to show her trance like state when the spirit/soul of one who has passed is speaking to her (hence why One Eye is in the background) Think I need to go back and work on the eyes some more tho....

I LOVE how this one turned out ^_^ This is Nibblet's character. She's a seamstress at heart, so her character is who makes all the garments for the Clan. Ever resourceful, she also implements the dragon scales (after they shed them) into the clothing, which also acts like the human's version of chain mail protection.

The chieftess, Arfurido. In the story, she is sister to Zebula. Both act as equal leaders to the Clan, since in their past they often had to split up the Clan during the time they had to flee their old canyon home in order to find a new home. So they continued the tradition since it benefited the Clan.

This is Raiber.
At the time, she was a die hard Strongbow/Moonshade fan. So her character was written as one of the younglings in the Clan, but after the loss of her mother at birth, and her father (also an archer of the Clan) died years later, she became withdrawn from the Clan. She chose to hide and live within the deepest caverns of their Lair and away from everyone. When the Wolfriders entered the story, Raiber sees her father in Strongbow and begins to emerge out on the open once more with his help.

This was a requested drawing, but it's been so long ago I can;t remember who in the Scrolls asked for this, or why. So the character is still nameless to this day...

I did alot of dragon pieces when I worked the Renaissance Festival years ago. All the pieces were done on wood. The last link is drawn and colored on a piece of wood that stood 6 feet tall

And just for fun... my Cutter tattoo ^_^ Sorry for the glare, but this was taken on the day I had him done and there was still oil on him to keep the ink from bleeding.

The following is Jeppe's character in my saga I'm picking up again.

He's remarkably charismatic, absolutely no fear of anything, is the first out of all the younglings in the Clan to speak his mind, even to an Elder, the first to dive into any adventure, and an all around HANDFUL for his mother, Greymoss

Here he's shown with his very first bond friend (a griffon/dragon type hybrid creature I haven't named yet)

They were always the last to fall asleep and always the first to rise.

They were the first to discover trouble, if they weren't the ones causing it.

The two younglings could have passed for siblings by their common mischievous personalities, and thought of themselves as much. Being so close of age at eight and nine winters, they were both anxious for any kind of adventure.

As they stood dangerously close to the cliff's edge, there appeared to be no sign of any fear that they could possibly fall to their doom. All it would take is one unexpected gust of wind to give a push, sending the pair toppling over into a spiral fall of death. Yet the two pairs of youthful eyes stared down the infinite distance with more wonder and curiosity than fear. Jeppe playfully kicked a rock to plummet out of sight through the thick mist, but even on a clear day, one could never see the ground. Their chief saw to that. He made sure to find the highest refuge where no predator could ever reach them, let alone see them.

The growing wind blew strands of unruly, sand colored hair across Jeppe's face and into his eyes. As he brushed it away with annoyance, his boredom quickly caught up with him. "Want to go into the caverns today?"

Since venturing the grounds below was strictly forbidden, audacious play had to be found within the safety of Black Crest. His companion only sighed and shrugged as he ignored his own auburn hair that flew across his own face, tickling his nose. His bright green gaze stared out to the horizon with a silent wish for something new to entertain their youthful energy, but for now, Bloodwake suggested one of their same activities to start the day with. "We could try to get those rocks unstuck again."

Knowing the argument to come, Jeppe's dark grey eyes rolled skyward. "You muddle head! I told you there's nothing there!"

"Yes there is!" Bloodwake snapped. "I can feel the wind seep through the cracks of the rocks! That alone proves something is behind them!"

Ever since they stumbled upon the hidden rock slide with the deep caves, Bloodwake had become strangely obsessed about getting through that wall of rocks! With a snort, Jeppe looked down and kicked a dust of pebbles over the cliff again. "Even if there was another cavern, who cares? We have so many now, that we still get lost! What do we need with another one?" The wind seemed to understand the argument between the two younglings and chose to take Bloodwake's side by tormenting Jeppe and flopping his unkept mane over his face again.

Bloodwake sighed and slumped his shoulders. Now it was his time to kick the dirt. "Well, it's something to do anyway," he grumbled under his breath.

While slapping his hair away from his face again, Jeppe knew he couldn't argue with that. There was little else to do but practice their aiming or hunting skills with relentless badgering by the elders, or boring duties like skinning hides and drying berries. If the two younglings found something fun to do before the Clan woke, and also kept themselves out of sight, then they were less likely to be put to work!

Before their decision of the day could be made, an unexpected and warning voice growled into both of their minds. **Step away from the cliff before I drag you back by your ears!**

Already knowing who the voice belonged to, Bloodwake and Jeppe turned their heads slowly with sheepish grins to see their chief standing across the vast distance of the overlook within the entrance of the Crest. His steel gaze continued scowling silently from the shadows as they shuffled their feet safely away from the edge. The younglings had been warned time and time again, day after day since they began to walk, for their recklessness around the overlook, and their obvious guilt caused a deep blush to spread across their cheeks.

Shaking his head slowly, Zebula returned into the Lair with full confidence that the pair of younglings would disobey him again as they so often did.

Wordgazer was rewarded with a hearty chuckle. Sure enough, those two were back at the edge of the cliff as soon as their chieftain was out of sight. Zebula must have expected this, for within moments, two angry mothers came charging out of the Lair to retrieve their disobedient younglings. Greymoss, with Jeppe's left ear in her grasp, and Niblett with Bloodwake's right ear in her clutches. Both scolding and dragging their giggling youngsters back into the Lair for a whole list of chores to keep their boredom occupied

PC, I would be most flattered to do some artwork to your wonderful Sunstream story. As I've told you before, it truly touches the heart deeply, so to contribute to it would be quite the honor!

By the way, I just have NO idea in which section of this site here I could present that lil' try of mine.

There's something I could NOT openly expose in the official site: how SURE I am, now, that we, the readers of Elfquest, have been presented, all along, only a TINY part of the big picture. How the elves we've come to love have explored but a very small part, both of that world of two moons' geography, but also how little they are aware of its history. I'll expose it here first with some preliminary but fundamental questions :
. What became of "the Hunt" and Timmorn Yellow-Eyes?
. What became of Two-Spear's tribe?
. What became of those elves who did NOT follow Voll, all along his millenias of guidance?
. Where did Savah's family of refugees come from? From which EVOLVED elfin population?
. What did Winnowill seek to protect Voll from?

My point is this: somewhere on the world of two moons, many, many, MANY elves have gathered, for MILLENIAS, and organized themselves into a CIVILIZATION, and they have made sure to both DOMINATE humans AND to protect themselves from the prying Black Snake's efforts.
There exist EXTREMELY GRIM WAYS to do so, thanks to elfin magic, the grimmest ones being:
. Mental control (think about what Rayek and Savah could do)
. Fire magic (think about how RARE it is, among the elves Wendy presented us)

Wendy herself confessed there WILL be a "FINAL" quest, and I strongly fear its outcome will be extremely unpleasant.
Because what will happen when SOME elves who've learned the hard way to COPE with humans, even through occasional warfare..
..meet a MULTITUDE of very well organized elves who have been treating humans as HOPELESS SLAVES and who are convinced THEY can and WILL become the MASTERS of that world?

But I will say this. Some of the aspects you brought up is what I'm going to attempt in the story I'm working on. I won't specify which, but a lot of what you brought up has always gnawed the back of my brain too Idea
