~ Poetry - "Worlds change when eyes meet" ~

Thank you so much, PC. These pictures are a perfect visualisation of that sad scene in the poem. Ahdri, a 'golden' elf herself - maybe THE golden elf, creates a metaphor of a 'golden flower' ...for her friend who was taken by lightning and thunder...too fast...too cruel...an immortal in a mortal body she was, she (her body) could have NEVER survived.

When I am really sad, I like to lighten up my mood with lightness. With drawing a happy person, listening to a happy song, watching a funny comedian...

...reminded me of...PIKE.

Prayer (in a tree costume):
Let's lighten up the mood, shall we, Pike?

Pike (in a huge dreamberry costume):
We shall...

Prayer:
Alright...!

'Do dreamberries love him?
Did he recognize them?
Either way,
We love them - and him!

Always jolly, he carries
A bunch of good stories;
Seize the way?'

Pike:
'Seize DANCE, WINE and DAY!
...Found a dreamberry bush...!
Hooray!'

*he jumps in*

Me:
'There stood Pike,
Now he is...away!
You've just got to meet him
Get carried away
By his dreamseeking
Dreamberry wing...

If you seek fun, you'll win,
If you win, you'll have fun!
Wait a moment...
...Life's just a game?'

Pike:
'Oh no, but my jokes -
They have earned all the fame -
That's the game!
Don't you see? At your laughs I aim!'

Me: 'Hm...'

Pike:
'Was even a tiny berry myself
Despite trolldung, it was my escape!
Wasn't that genius, my friend?
Hey wait, wait! Wasn't my dreamstories' end!'

Me: 'Eww....oh, Pike!'

*Laughing from the audience*

Me:
'One day he may grow old
But his jokes are still gold;
Maybe 'old' is not what it's been told,
'Cause he carries the spirit

Of a happy child,
Yes, that's Pike!
The one in the dreamberry bush,
Full of joyful songs, fun and wild!

Yes, that's Pike!
In the dreamberry bush?
Always Pike!'

Pike: 'Always me!'

Prayer: 'Always Pike!

And now go to sleep,
Kids, goodnight,
Enough stories about good old...

Pike:
'Wut?'

Me:
'Yes! Growing-old-but-ever-young Pike'

Pike:
'Ha! I guess that's right!'

Strongbow has lost family - his child and his lifemate - but he stayed himself and on the World of Two Moons. He has overcome sorrow and lives his life - but he'll never forget and sees his two moons whenever he wishes for. *hugs*

Same here. The symbolic effect is great. And terribly sad.

It was sad foreshadowing indeed.

I remember I was totally amazed by those panels without words. So emotionally drawn...<3. It created a very bittersweet, melancholic atmosphere back then. Still I never thought Elfmom would go that far to use this epic couple and their (regarding their closest bond of sharing their all through sending) unusual struggle to create a dramatic effect in the story.
