I put my picture from the grabbag into here too, because it belongs here. And it was a biiig work to do...

And my newest pic for Mermay, the prompt was dolphin and I wanted to create a fellower cetacean for the Sea Raiders since long.  It has the design mix of Wendys dolphin drawing with the Sea Prince and of a wolphin, which is a dolphin-little orca -hybrid.


This is a huge picture, it was too large for the scanner, so it comes as a fotography , but how could I take a small sheet of paper for a cetacean!
Though the Sea Raider elves are pirates for sure, this guy is not that rough and tough . He is a meek elf whose magic is close to healer magic. Nobody can make the transition from water breathing to air breathing and back as smoothly as water as  he can.
He explores the water through and through by feeling into everything and becoming one with it. And he also has an intense bond with the creatures of the sea, especially this peculiar being here who seems to be more than just a dolphin of the world of two moons like any other. I have no name yet for the soft guy. He has full lips like Leetah, eyebrows and nose tip  like Cutter  , long nose like Chad and Rayek.  eyecolour? don t know yet.

Madly drawing me made another DA contribution for tomorrow:
The prompt was "Bubbles", first I thought of a giant bubble with a mer sitting in it. But I remembered, that I wanted to visualize the self shaping of the Sea Raiders when in transition from one way to breath to another. This is changing from air to water , the air must get out mostly before the gills are shaped or else it hurts badly. It is always mixed with the cruel feeling of  suffocation and therefore feared.  Some of them can do it better, others not. The transition is the moment of the greatest vulnerability of those mers and always a fight.  Only the "dolphin-cuddler" (Abzu- has no better name for him now) from the picture yesterday makes the transition as fluid as water flows and has not to fight for oxygen.

Elfquests Haken had that idea to drag Yeee on the tropical island for spa.The always grumpy Yeee suddenly has a very different mood.

Prompt for today is "Octopus". "Grow up my dear, until you are able to ram ships into the depths..." Yeee whistles in "wavedancer -tongue " (as the elves call it= dolphin language) to the little Octopus.

Prompt for today is "plant".  I would go farther and call it "kelpwood" (love kelp!    ) . Within the kelpwoods those of the Sea Raiders,  which are in a vulnerable condition, love to hide. They shield all kinds of fishes , and the big fish elves too. Yeee is here in High One size.

A cozy place it is here in the storm for birth giving. Against all warnings of the dolphins, Yeee comes up on the surface , but it feels so comfortable to lean the weary head  in the waves and get rocked. Yeee is here in small size, gets her baby Ortega and this scene here  is the course , why Chad gets so angry at her ( the scene on the April grab bag picture).

Just want to let you know that I follow and adore each of your drawings, Yeee!

This was the nearly fateful day, when young Sharuk gets his ear and tail markings. prompt for day 17 is "shark". I wanted Sharuk to be in the age between 9 and 12, I hope it fits.

Today`s prompt on DA is "Ancient". The High Ones were the first elves on the world of two moons, and for all their descendants,  these guys are that  what is absolutely ancient for them . Haken turned himself into a mer and he trys to  allure Yeee into who knows what...

i've badly relapsed back into lurking...>.< but trying to break it again. and i wanted to say how HAPPY it's made me seeing you post all this lovely art here, and seeing you post my colorings on DA!!!!<3 i kinda want to color the Haken one....XD

also now to celebrate my de-lurking...here's a coloring! i'd been wanting to do this since i saw it and tried a new style...i tried making the picture a stained glass image! worked a bit i think? but it looks great.^^ also i have no idea what's with this sea slug in a jar....O.o...but thank god you colored it Yeee, or i would have been so lost!!! XD

Oh Yeah, Vaeri is back again! And you brought my clay wall picture back as a stained glass image! Yes, that fits, it has something of a glass window. And you straightened my horribly crooked rectangles around the edge. If you stay together with your Blackfin, you will get to know a lot of other marine animals and what's with this sea slug in a jar .

I would love to see Haken in colour!

Shape tools are a wonderful thing! XD i really liked your eggs you drew, i have another in the wings...^_- but i shall color the Haken first! Oh that tail....XD

Last chance for escape, even when it looks like murder, Yeee rescues Rayek from the attacking human army. It is a horrible procedure to be shaped into a water breather, especially when lying on the back and when someone else is doing that with you and you have no control over it. The crystal shard of the elf palace enhances every magic user power as the whole palace does. Luckily that enables Yeee to use the self shaping magic upon other elves too.
