Those are the titles given to Tezuka Osamu, one of the most prolific mangaka (if not THE most prolific) ever.

His work is absolutely stunning, was groundbreaking in Japan at the time, and spans so many genres with so many heavy messages that still ring true today. He created his Star System, where the characters were actors that carried over to each others' series.

My favorite above all is Black Jack, followed by Jungle Emperor Leo.

Had to unlurk to upvote UNICO: the cutesiest cuddliest anime film series about a pink-haired baby unicorn battling date rape demons and possessed marionette puppets to ever scar my childhood.

(You can spot Unico in the top left of Kojiyumi's image wearing dragonfly wings.)

In all seriousness, I have mad respect for Tezuka Osamu, and I sincerely love the Unico movies.

I think most people know Jungle Emperor Leo as Kimba the White Lion, just as Astroboy is the more common for Tetsuwan Atom.

There's also the fun merpeople story of Triton of the Sea. Oh, and Atomcat! That one is super cute!

And so many good stand-alone books that don't get enough attention like Clockwork Apple and Melody of Iron.

Tezuka seemed to have a thing about doing a dramatic story then having some of the cuter charas have side manga. That's how Atomcat was born! XD
