How does this Tumblr thing actually work?

I'm wondering how a movie like I Am Not Your Negro isn't having more people talk about it, because it's sooooo brilliant. I saw it the other night and want to go back and see it! It's not just some documentary about racism , it's social commentary, based on James Baldwin's first 30 pages on his book and basically taking all of his talks and lectures and giving them a platform.

I am wondering about social media in general-- and social intricacies, which SM is writ large.

There are so many things I didn't "get"-- or even know existed-- until at least my 20s (...does that mean I'm on the spectrum?), and things I now can perceive but still don't quite get and/or am disgusted by.

Why isn't there a manual or a class for this kind of thing? Am I going to be playing catch-up the rest of my life??

If one time is once, two times is twice, and three times is thrice. Does that then mean that four times = foce, five times = fice, six times = sice... ? Or am I just being really weird now?

I wonder if Tumblr makes any sense at all. I can understand all sorts of art galleries - but if one wants to get in contact with audience... I don't think Tumblr is a platform for receiving thoughtful art critiques or comments. It's not even a kind of blog, it's more a regurit... reblogging and most textual messages have an intellectual level below the average twitter tweet. Still creative people seem to find tumblr interesting.


In other news I wonder why the world in general is so messed up. And why "mankind" seems to be nearly inable to develop, to gain wisdom (wisdom isn't the same as knowledge).

Moreover I wonder why a lot people seem to live 90% of daytime with their face bound towards a tiny smartphone screen.

I also wonder if my life will finally please improve this year.

Furthermore I'd also be interested in a solution by a native speaker to the twice, thrice, foce?? problem that Redhead mentioned.

Why does my cabbage-asparages-smothie taste like pineapple?

If I will end up hurting myself if I finally decide to use the punching bag in the gym at work. I've studied martial arts for many years but am a ronin at the moment since I'm very picky who I study with after having so many bad teachers. Well their knowledge was great, but their personal ethics were bad. I keep looking at that bag and would just like to practice some strikes...never my favorite thing to do in my MA training but I've just been wondering if I can still hit as hard as I used to when I was younger?

My body has been through a lot and I have quite a bit of chronic pain and joint issues these days now that I'm not a cubling anymore...I manage well but the last thing I need to cause more damage...but damn it I really want to do give that bag what for!

Hmm...of course I'm also a little embarrassed to have anyone see me in case I do something stupid and fall on my ass...and I'm self conscious of the fact that if I can still do the explosive close up hits I could do years ago that someone might see and then ask me questions about where I learned it...etc etc...blagh, I hate that.

I don't think there's actually any inconsistency here. I went back and reread the parts about him. He just didn't decay fully until his tomb became exposed to outside factors thousands of years later.

I misread something, somewhere ages ago and somehow thought he escaped when Krawkraw's lot's came back and captured Greymung's lot.

I might have thought the raid by the Northern trolls and Rayek's run through the tunnels took place around the same time (possibly on different levels and the news of the attack simply hadn't been discovered yet? I'm not sure how I came to this conclusion) and Ekuar simply moved and hid himself.

Somewhere there IS an inconsitency. As far as I remember Ekuar said the Trolls had sentenced him to starvation as punishment for his interference when Osek escaped. Starving over several centuries or millenia is not very likely. XD Either there is a massive inconsistency with OQ or this "tale of love and loss" is written in a way that makes it very hard for a foreign speaker to get the meaning.
