| I saw the video with Geronimo you've shared, Kin. He's full of mischief and win! Ginchan is a purring, soft and cuddly bundle of love. | Long story short - middle of October I called animal control because there was a domestic rabbit in my backyard. We have wild rabbits, but I was concerned that an escaped or abandoned rabbit would be killed by a car, a predator or a dog. I told them it wasn't urgent, so the officer arrived two hours later. The officer they sent was a bald-headed white man. What do you think when you see a bald-headed white man chasing a rabbit? At the same time, a girl from down the street arrived, looking for her pet rabbit. I was relieved to know the rabbit was lost and not abandoned. The officer caught the rabbit after a long chase, and carried it back to the girl's house, with the girl leading him. I thought it odd that no adult came looking for a pre-teen or early-teen daughter. Over a week later, we caught the rabbit in our yard, confined it, and left a message at the girl's home for her come and pick it up. We don't have her last name or phone number, we just know where she lives. The man who answered the door appeared to be a disabled grandfather. The rabbit has since appeared in our yard multiple times. My husband insisted upon creating a makeshift shelter out of a plastic tote, and buying rabbit food. It will eat out of my hand, and allow me to pet it. We are sorry to see this girl has not learned to confine her pet to her yard, nor does she come looking for it when school lets out. We don't have pets because we cannot afford the time and expense. I like feeding and petting the rabbit when it visits, but I think it's a shame that it's being allowed to roam a neighborhood where birds of prey are not uncommon, and where the through traffic is 35 miles an hour. ___________________________________________________ | |

| Got a rat, took over an abandoned cat (and he's the prince of all the cats! Who could leave him?) And I just found those in a supermarket (not as good as the real lizard some of you got here but...): video here | |

I like the grey fake dragon. ^^ ___________________________________________________ Indem du etwas tust, das dir oder jemand anderem gefällt, erschaffst du bereits einen Wert. | |

| A nicely patterned specimen. Must feel smooth and sructured in the hand. You give it some oil eventually for a shiny surface? I see the advantages of not dealing with metabolic end products. | Nah, to my knowledge its always been like that. I think my teacher actually forbid anything to be done with due to it's markings. ___________________________________________________ 'We're all broken, in different ways, in varying degrees.'

| Sadly a lot of the photos are missing now, but it's so fun to see all the pets whose pictures are still here--especially that lovely rock! There's a really cool array of different animals around here! My very small den hosts a bit of a pack as well. First we have an enormous tuftcat (18 lbs!) named Captain Finnegan Wake, aka Finn: And then a bug-eyed little near-wolf called Noel: And finally, the newest addition, my bond-bird Charlemagne: Finn is 8 1/2 and has been with us for 6 years now--I can't imagine how such a handsome boy ended up in a shelter, but it worked out for us! Noel is 9 1/2 and was my in-laws' dog before their divorce sent her to us 5 1/2 years ago. Charlemagne is a ringneck dove we found in the street, so we don't know his exact age but we suspect he's a year or less. We've had him for 7 months, and he changed color slightly during his end of summer molt so we think he was in his first feathers when we found him originally. | |

| Thanks! Finn is... probably the boss, yeah Although despite his insistence that he "only wants to play" with Charlemagne, the two of them are not allowed out at the same time. | |

| My cat Bandit is probably dying. Two years ago the vet put him on kidney medication that would extend his life about two years. Now he's stopped eating and seems very sick. So sad. ___________________________________________________ I'm not old. I've just been young for a very long time...
