Not "more accurate", just "most obvious" if not "boringly easy" at long term. 
And YOU were the one who taught us to take adopted relationships as self evident as blood relationships. If any word for a relation between two characters were allowed then we could go:

There are enough ways to set traps without having to use these kinds of terms characters wouldn't use themselves. Skywise/Freetouch's lovemate is a good place to start...
BTW, this isn't an attack at fae's trickery, I don't think using Angrif as Lodok's leader was "against the rules", he was Lodok's leader, just his daddy too (okay... guess my Moonshade-Freetouch example was a bad one) it's just that for me lovemate sorta includes that you, well, love each other... and just using 'mate' wouldn't have made me any less stumped. I'd probably have wondering since when Tyldak turned Australian.
