I've skimmed FQ #10 again ... and was captured by Aurek's entry came in mind. The narrator tells: Up from subterranean exile ... where he has held sinister energies at bay.

Does anyone else wonders about those "sinister energies"? It was not mentioned again...
Don't the Elves bother at all?
Has Aurek even mentioned this probable danger before he went in a new semi-stasis?

The Palace and most of the Elves sit right above the "sinister energies"!

@Embala-- I think they brought the palace back to the holt. It was just sitting on the sinister energies for ten years. I guess, in that time, they figured out how to do something about it. Who knows what. Who cares, really. There are so many toss aways in this storyline.

Isn't it odd that the cover of 11 has Skywise and Leetah looking distressed-- while Strongbow is quietly containing his grief. If anything- it was the opposite. Skywise was in bliss, and Leetah quietly contained her concerns-- while Strongbow flipped.

That's actually a problem I've had with this series - the teaser blurbs and issue covers seem to have very little to do with the actual content. It's almost like the covers are made, and shared, before it's even known what will happen in that issue.

I think it contributes to the feeling that this is all kind of thrown together in a haphazard manner.

sorry my joke caused confusion! also...totally got the "knot" joke, and i cringed when i saw someone questioning it...i knew that would not end well. it would end in someone dying of laughter. XD

also seriously? wolfrider's have different genitals? and THIS NEVER GOT HINTED AT IN COMIC?! i'd call this another retcon. sheesh.

gonna third the opinion, kinda wish we could have seen the rejuvinated Oddbit.

Also completely irrelevant. Seriously, this impacts the story how? Though I suppose THAT could be what was shocking Cutter in the last page, seeing a copy of his body with such an obvious, personal difference. Very Happy

Of course, it does put an interesting spin on the panel in "Rogue's Challenge" where Rayek talks about it being more than just Recognition that drew Leetah to Cutter. ;D

And I can't help thinking the females of the various tribes would be warning each other off Wolfrider lads like crazy if what Wendy is implying and we are all inferring is true. Unless they somehow find it appealing to get stuck together during coitus. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.

I feel this need to make a "Bad Fanfiction Bingo" card for Final Quest and/or the next Wendy post on FB. We got "arbitrary gender swap" and "body snatching" in the last ish, and now we're getting into kinkmeme territory.

Leetah being a healer, I'm sure she could deal with it somehow.

Didn't we have a full frontal of Mender when he was born? I'd have to look again but I don't remember seeing anything out of the ordinary. But then, I'm not sure about the specifics of how dogs look.
