| Shade and sweet water! I just joined the father tree holt. I'm lurking in this forum for quite a while now and I thought it is time to join you. I'm from Germany, so please pardon my English writing skills. Since I somehow got the German "Abenteuer in der Elfenwelt" No 34 "Schnee-Elfen und Falkenreiter" (Bastei Edition; it's KOBW6) I fell in love with the World of Two Moons. But I lost Elfquest out of sight until Carlsen Comics published it again in the mid 1990s. Since then I collect the comics. But I never engaged in the fandom before. When I found out that the Pinis made Final Quest I was thrilled and I'm hooked again. Even so I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed with it... (I can't unsee the copy&past and the pacing of the story is a little fast...), I will stick with it until the end. My favorite elf is Skywise  So happy (and nervous) to finally "be here". We rarely bite  ... you were lurking long enough to know, right? btw: your English is fine. The Welcome topic offers some helpful tips how to do all the technical stuff, i.e. posting links. ^^ Of course you can always ask for help - in a thread, pm or in the chatbox. You've already noticed the chatbox? The box is good for support and all kind of talk. ... wir können das übrigens auch prima auf deutsch erledigen. Willkommen - mit dir sind vier Fans aus Deutschland hier (soweit ich weiß). Storm und ich sind Dauercamper in der Chatbox - wenn du dich gegen Abend einloggst, hallo sagst und ein wenig Geduld mitbringst, taucht garantiert eine von uns auf. So, damit unsere englischsprachigen Freunde auch wieder mitkommen ... I've started with Bastei's "Abenteuer in der Elfenwelt" as well ... lucky to get into it with Elfquest #1 and catch all the other issues up to KotBW #9. Continued by the Carlson Comics republishing and new releases. Then there was looooots of time to gather all the English originals ... before EQ got a restart with SatS, Discovery and finally the Final Quest. Like you I was excited to get new adventures, a conclusion ... and mildly disappointed that it does not feel like "first love" anymore. And like you I'll stick with it until the end ... and a bit longer.
