| Mermay has begun. Today it was the Mme Meduse eats everything image from the cover of my calendar. tomorrow I will post my grumpy Yeee with trident image for the prompt: Siren. day 3, prompt: Glossy This will be the little Lily Pad sitting on a Lilypad Image. day 4, will be Desh day 5 , Symbiotic : will be Embala and Sharuk and for day 6 , Doodle : I have made this doodle of Moonlights new Emo Sea Raider (Kura)-Yami, sitting onhis dear friend, the depressed stone and as always, he gets ranted at by his pal, the ranting Anglerfish with its black (un-)light.  | |

| Thank you Tynami! And it goes on, Mermay official's mascot "Harmony" has become a DTIYS challenge.  Well, I had to accept that, but I got my Koiboi his next guest star appearance for it, in the role of "Harmony".  This will be for Day 12, prompt: Mermaze, the prompt which is sponsored by MGA (..and the winner will get all 4 Mermaze Mermaid dollz! I soooo want them all   ) . and their judge drew "Harmony", thats why I had to work so hard on this picture (and hey I am getting better in drawing hair). | |

| Koiboi got a sister: Koigal I wanted to gain Deviant Arts new Mermaid badge , so I made this tutorial thing and created a Koi-mer in just one evening.  This is Koigal, the sister of Koiboi. And daughter of Haken and Yeee. She has the hair and eyes of Jarrah, since I thought this would be a nice opposite to Koibois colors. I used a real koi as color template.  | |

| Today's Mermay picture is an ancient one dug out of the depths of my archive. And it is clearly visible that my first Mermaid Oc is not only me with blue hair and a fish tail, but also the base for Yeee. So, no Elfquest image now.  | |

| @Tynami: Yes , already finished my entry for this tutorial and gained the badge with my Koigal image. But thanx a lot for the hint. @Trollbabe: Oh wow, that makes me curious about what you are thinking about it. But I have to admit that the gray frame is just a copy from a "Mako-mermaids" coloring book in which I drew my mermaid. So not all is drawn by me. But the next picture is: prompt for day 18: pirate! It had to be Silver, so I made his character reference sheet and invented a new special pal for him: Rupert, his henchman sea snail, and so not a sea bunny.  Wikipedia says about this mean pal: "One of the fish-eating species, the geography cone, Conus geographus, is also known colloquially as the "cigarette snail", a gallows humor exaggeration implying that, when stung by this creature, the victim will have only enough time to smoke a cigarette before dying." | |

| This is the newest one: Prompt is: Diamond. This fits perfect to my pirate Silver. The wave-background is from Mermay-Official and is part of a template film for the competition category : animation. I simply downloaded one of the still images and used it as the background.  Geez! Pirate Silver has slipped the precious Diamond out of his clutches. It is being swept away by a huge wave. His henchman, the cigarette snail Rupert, can only watch in horror as the treasure sloshes away. | |

| #Comicbook , day 29 of my Mermay. Here's the summer reading for 2022: The New Sea Raider Comic Book, in full color. Silver the Pirate of day 18th Prompt #Pirate and his henchman. the cigarette snail Rupert are on their ongoing adventure: the hunt for the lost diamond from day 20th prompt: #diamond . Will they ever find the lost diamond again? And what about poor Rupert, the lame sea slug who has a bloodthirsty pirate clinging to its slimy slug heel. Alas, Silver's revenge will be terrible. Don`t miss this swashbuckling adventure! Ha ha, I just had to do this!   This was the last picture for this Mermay! For the Next two days I already have stuff to post. WHEW! Now I need a drawing rest... | |

| Do you remember the Walmart advertisement that @Kojiyumi posted in "Did I just see this"? And do you remember the Valley of the Sun becoming the Sun Valley with some Sun Villagers who dared to become Bird of Prey- Rider? Well I did and transformed the advertisment into a nice background with "parking space" right and left for desert Hawkriders.  | |
