A High One, obscured, unidentified, tiny - and courageous enough to look into Timmain's dark unexplored den as the first.

Ummmm. A aged human and I have no clue what the other is.

One of the fire-elves?

A fire elf! Dancing! Silhouettes in conversation, one I’m assuming is cutter. And on the other calendar is the wolf hunter and two firstling trolls.

I like stormcathers choice and love how you places this high one in such a reflective bauble.

An understanding reached.

You might remember the old hunter who was eager to catch this mysterious white wolf during the long wait - actions that finally caused Cutter's wounding and finally led to the long sleep. I always liked this story, G0lden, and wanted to give him a day in the spotlight.
The figure in red is a Fire Elf, another race we only got a faint glimpse of in the FQ. They are beings of pure fire and dwell in Volcanos.

The Fire Elf indeed, Redhead. I love your last comment - it discribes those panels perfectly. And it proves once again that you know your Final Quest well.

I see you still enjoy the calendar windows, Evie. Cutter's conversation partner is Rayek ... you might remember this one-page event all in blue.

And here is your promsed bauble gift - I hope I got Winnowill's human servants well.

Looks like the Firstcomer Troll has gotten a Christmas Tree.

After several festive calendars I wanted to point out the dark side of EQ as well ... but without spoiling the Christmas mood. The German "Rauhnacht" (12 Nights of Christmas), an ancient tradition in the Alpes (google "Perchten") came in mind. There is belief that in those nights good and bad spirits visit the Humans, watching whether they live true to the old rules. Here I had my bad guys, a time for them and a reason! And it works well for several years now.

When you find your favorite character among the villians, rogues and monsters it does not mean that I condemn them. They may be ambivalent for me ... or act as an enemy at a certain time ... simply look like a monster in Human eyes ... or represent lingering dangers.

The 12 Nights are ahead ... you might have noticed that there are 14 brown windows. I include the Night of Thomas and Christmas Eve, therefore the first door has opened tonight. And from Christmas Eve til Three Kings there will be two more ornaments per day - two in the morning and two in the evening ... more or less. (talking of Central European Time CET = UTC+1).

Be ready to find some "not so nice" characters there - and maybe a cruel sight.

If things go like planned, the calendar windows will open more or less regulary the next few days. If not - then you'll get a bunch of newly opened windows late at Dec. 26th - Happy Holidays!

Is that Zephyr!? I know this one was years ago but, I can't remember seeing a colored version of that! Very nice! I love that addition outside of the bauble from the boat!
